  1. Aye, stuff like this would be my preference, and the sin bin would be a good way of dealing with it but not removing a player from the entire match. Lots of football fans hate rugby, but the players in that sport (all cheating b*****ds in their own way) seem to stay out of the refs face - and its not because they are all jolly good lads, its because rugby has devised outcomes that penalise them properly.
  2. Revenue means nothing unless you are making a margin. But, I digress - the biggest issue Aberdeen have post Covid is funding the new stadium (even if its the one along the beach) unless Cormack pays for it all himself. What was the Kingsford estimate, £50m?
  3. I agree with your first point, I am just having a bit of a giggle.......as I am sure you will if we have some catastrophic demise (not unknown for us ) in the next 10 matches. Re the bit in bold, there are no Hibs fans peddling this narrative at all its all those on one side of Aberdeens support - the "DeREk is a RaNJUrs mAn AnD CaNt bE TrUsTEd" lot As mentioned on the thread the St Mirren fan put up with a H2H of these managers, one has been in the job pretty successfully for 14 years, one is a relative newcomer with 5 years experience, only one year in the premiership. If Hibs do by some miracle come third we will deserve it (as will Aberdeen or Livi, both of whom are still in contention) its not like they just altered the rules to benefit us, is it? No different from a championship club winning the scottish cup going into Europe at the expense of a premiership place.
  4. The situation is getting dire in Aberdeen when normally good posters are flinging the toys out the pram about Hibs.
  5. No Tory MPs in Edinburgh, maybe those enclaves are not as prevalent as you think. Aberdeenshire, however, thats a different sTory. If you dont like Rugby, thats fine - I can take it or leave it myself - but at least sort out your prejudices before posting shite?
  6. Inverness Chief Exec Gardiner sookin the Hearts teat yet again..........coincidentally the club he used to work for and the one he championed in the summer to stay in the top division. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55994247
  7. This thread needs to get in the fucking sea...........awful chat
  8. I tried to avoid it, but the constant stream of diddies has done for me - a moment of weakness....................
  9. Since you last won a trophy in 2012, Allan Johnstone, Gary Locke, Lee McCulloch (twice) Lee Clark, Steve Clarke, Angelo Alessio, and Alex Dyer have all been at the helm of your club. Now you have a guy who "hates plastic pitches" but reckons that (based on that line of managerial diddies and zero expectations at the "Billy Bowie Special Projects Stadium" ) that "what the hell, its easy cash and I probably wont be there in a year"....................
  10. Not sure why you are in any way worried, its not like you have a Terry Butcher-esque idiot of a manager who will lose the dressing room and the team are playing pretty well. Having seen every side a couple of times (and how they have changed over the season) even with injuries, you are comfortably going to be away from the playoff zone dross.
  11. It wasnt so much a gamble to strengthen the squad, and imo wasnt a play for 3rd, more absolute necessity. On paper the midfield was good, but Allan has been out for months, Newell (who was making us tick) is still injured, and Magennis was injured when he arrived and tweaked his hamstring so has been out. We were so thin at the back that we had to wheel MacGregor out of retirement - although that has worked well so far (but he isnt a long term option). That we brought in Cadden and Irvine (short term) were vital - although they arrived not match fit as was so evident in the Semi v St J. We refused to sell Nisbet and Porto in the last 2 days of the window out of necessity - we would have had one striker (doidge) who hasnt scored - it feels like - since pre covid and really couldnt go the rest of the season relying on Daz (although I love him, YLT ya bass and all that) at CH. So, while we have "invested" there was no choice - around the turn of the year, we were really thin on the ground (as you can see from our results then). Our new guys are bedding in now, and coincidentally some of the injured are now back so we look really strong at the mo. I suspect that the same will happen with Aberdeen in a week or two once the new guys get up to speed.
  12. You are arguing with guys for who "a ride" is getting a lift to school on the Massey Ferguson, little point in using big words m9.
  13. Its tricky, Hibs were due to do a lot of maintenance to the pitch in the summer (basically a rip up and renew job) but they couldnt get it done due to covid etc. Hibs pitch looks terrible, but it seems to run ok - bizarrely. So we are where we are til next season at least.
  14. Not quite, but you are close in with some shite............
  15. Their ages are not really relevant, I agree. However, Mcinnes has certainly been managing far longer - almost 14 years, against Ross 5 years.
  16. He is about to sign on as Killie manager, if the bbc is to believed. p.s. You are not seriously suggesting Aberdeen would punt McInnes to replace him with Wright??
  17. Jack only came to Hibs as he heard we were relaxed about managers and physios pumping - fact*
  18. I am sure we are looking for third, but our budget is still smaller than Aberdeen, despite having signed Cadden etc.
  19. You might also need someone who can work on a more limited budget than DM has been used to, certainly for a couple of seasons anyway. Aberdeen lost some potent striking options due to a combo of transfers and bad luck, were forced into last minute loans and it showed yesterday - which is hardly the managers fault. If I had a criticism of DM yesterday it was in trying to crowbar the Ferguson/Mcrorie/McGeough formation in, the only one that looked recognisable was Ferguson. Mcgeogh was dragged to his left far too often to influence the match and - one shot aside - Mcrorie was ineffective. DM is suffering what Ross was a few weeks ago - working out his best formation. It took JR a few weeks and a few new players to sort it. I dont see Cormack removing him before the end of the season, not least because any new manager would still only be able to pish with the cock he was left by DM................
