'Home Advantage'
Clangers replied to Alert Mongoose's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
The myth if it is? Is also self-perpetuating as teams set up with this in mind. Our season in the 1st division was a perfect example, every team the came to EEP set up very defensively because we had home advantage, the result was that our team found it very hard to break the other team down, we drew 8 at home and 4 away (with one loss away). The games we did win almost all were won in the second half, while in our away games the opposition set up more attacking and gave us space to score. -
Happy with a draw, a would have bitten your hand off with 5th back in February. Want Airdrie to keep there momentum up and steamroller there way into the playoff final against team 11.

Can’t Airdrie still finish 9th if ICT & QP draw and then win there remaining games? -
Livingston v Aberdeen - 06/04/24
Clangers replied to LiviLion's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Just to clarify he has played on Raiths, Livvy and there is no comparison. (Not sure how many time I am allowed to say comparison?) -
Livingston v Aberdeen - 06/04/24
Clangers replied to LiviLion's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
No it’s definitely not! My boy has played on both pitches multiple times, and there is no way there can be a comparison, the Livvy pitch is definitely worse than East Fifes and I won’t start rating it against local council/ school pitches but it wouldn’t score highly -

League split - good or bad ?
Clangers replied to Jastons6's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
The 10 team championship is and has been the last decade the most exciting league, every game is important. In February we started one of the weekends in 9th and finished it 5th, we were in the relegation playoff spot and finished just one spot below the promotion one. -
Tributes in Grounds
Clangers replied to invergowrie arab's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
We had one this season for a 18 year old kid who was a well known face at every way game I went to. So it’s wrong that his fellow young team who probably met him going to games shouldn’t have organised a minute applause and a banner for a life cut short? The queens multiple minute silences that I objected to, however my objection was done by not getting out of my seat. -

level headed ghuy or ghal that I am! Pretty sure you said you were a man who took his daughter to horse trials! I am going to agree with Edinabear on this one, something I never thought I would type -

🇱🇻🇱🇻Arbroath vs Thistle🔴🟡 - 23rd March 2024
Clangers replied to R&Y99's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Arbroath is definitely my favourite away ground, my son only just pointed out that Arbroath are the only team we had seen away than home. Always a good visit, highlighting by Peter Grant losing from 2 up (then walked), coldest game ever -7c, and getting absolutely soaked from a sea wave on my boys first visit, we parked up not knowing -
Putting on full weather gear when it’s pouring down and going for a walk in the woods, it’s tranquil and you never see anyone else!

Is Raith v Pars Scotland's third biggest derby?
Clangers replied to Nutmeg Magazine's topic in Nutmeg
It’s not even Dunfermline's biggest, Falkirk is a by way a bigger match to all Pars fans. -
Cheers Hibee, I see as usual the BBC have removed most of the news from the story and added extra information to make him look good!

When we were in holiday in Japan (20 years ago) we used to dare each other to buy the strangest order at 4am. I can remember buying a weirdo jazz mag, 1 apple, 3 grapes an egg sandwich (no crusts), medical cream (I think it was for spots, but it was just symbols) and some uncooked mince. Best but was that we had been swimming in a fountain just before so all my cash was dripping wet.

Never watched an American Football game before, I am getting the feeling this isn’t a classic. The big boy Young with the gold hair looks like my man of the match
