  1. Sad with the news that Gil de Farran had passed away after suffering a heart attack yesterday. Only 56. R.I.P.
  2. Inverness - Looks cold and frosty outside, clear skies so far. No wind.
  3. I always support the referees in this fixture. Ref will be Nick Walsh, assistants are Graeme Stewart and Calum Spence, 4th official will be Kevin Clancy and in charge of VAR will be Willie Collum.
  4. I've been working my way through a lot of DVDs I've bought for pennys over the last year, recently watched standout 'Lucky' which was Harry Dean Stanton's last film reeased while he was still alive. Lucky is an outstanding film, highly recommended. You know you are getting old when this film boots you right in the feels. It has one of the best endings ever, iconic. Watched Dune for the first time, impressed, big improvement on previous efforts, looking forward to the next one. Might finally get around to reading the books now. Caught up with the last decade's Clint Eastwood films, most of these center around family relationships and based on true event types. Most are decent to just OK but nothing special. Have heard that his next film Juror No.2 will be his last. Retirement at 93? Currently watching Eastwood's 'Trouble With The Curve' and next after that will be the Spike Jonze film 'Her', with Joaquin Phoenix. If I have time later today then 'A Bridge Too Far'.

  7. I was impressed with the trailer for The Day Before (why 'before', it isn't?) that's where impressive ends. I'm watching theRadBrad on youtube playing this and he wants a refund. Impressive city scape but that's it. Was this game released unfinished, it had been in the works since 2019? Reviews on steam absolutely tearing it a new one, many calling it a scam.
  8. I have a list of games that caught my attention via trailers, some already out, some due for 2024 or later, some.... who knows. Release info so far in brackets. Anyone looking forward to any of these? War of the Worlds (TBA, 2024) Death Stranding 2 (2024 or 2025) Pioner (TBA - 2024) S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Heart of Chornobyl (First quarter of 2024) Neo Berlin 2033 (2024) Titan Quest 2 (TBA - 2024??) The Lost Wild (late 2024 or early 2025) The Day Before (came out 7th Dec 2023) Instinction (2025) (not sure if both Co-op and single player) State of Decay 3 (2027) Beyond Good and Evil 2 (who knows? the creative designer died this year. record breaking development time, was due for release in maybe back in 2007 or 2008?) Trek to Yomi (2022, late to this one) The Outer Worlds 2 (2026) Crimson Desert (pushed back to 2026) Nightingale (22nd Feb 2024) Exekiller (2025) I do like open world survival games that have role play. I don't have any dinosaur games and the two that caught my attention The Lost Wild and Instinction, I'm really looking forward to these two, see how they turn out. Rumoured that Fallout 5 won't be out before 2030.
  9. Wheelie bin chasing weather in Inverness right now. Got woken up a couple of times last night with the noise of the rain and wind.
  10. Plenty of folks hate or have a grudge another club enough to support everyone else against? How far would someone go? Buy about 10 different coloured bar scarves?
  11. Its pretty clear they are still in the huff about it. Entitlement is in their DNA.
  12. Why would they come back? they were constantly complaining about the standard of football in the LL not being suitable for their players and then threw a very large hat into the ring with the Conference and it failed. I'd be very surprised if they darkened that door again. They seem happier playing against European opposition within their age group for just now.
  13. I'd go to random games every now and then but not support a team.
  14. The first time this has ever happened?
  15. East Fife 1-2 Bonnyrigg Rose Dumbarton 3-1 Clyde Peterhead 2-0 Forfar Ath Stenhousemuir 0-2 Elgin City Spartans 4-2 Stranraer

  17. Every now and then I check DeadEyeDelboy's channel for Gran Turismo 7
  18. The natural order and karma will eventually end this nonsence. Time is not on the side of the B teams. Other countries FAs will be quaking in their brogues at how determined both clubs are to continue flogging a dead horse and producing future world class players to play in our SPFL lower leagues, LL and levels 6 and 7. It is very kind of them to continue going nowhere and pay for the privilege. At least Rangers true to form walked away realising they were getting nowhere and calculated that their absence would eventually lead to all the club that voted against the Conference will go bust, that will show them.
  19. Interesting that both promoted and three of the relegated clubs don't see B teams money as essential in their own development. Notice that this is many of the older clubs that have trust in their loyal support many have been turning up for decades and have more confidence in their own sustainability at this level, where as the former EoS teams the originals from the first season of the LL and the new teams who got in before the pyramid was set might not be sustainable at this level without 'windfalls'. I wonder if both East Kilbride and Cowdenbeath are actually in real trouble for cash, but are keeping hush about it. Eventually the arse will fall out of most of these clubs either financial or the rising standard of club will push them down, already happened to Vale of Leithen now Gretna and Edinburgh Uni, probably Gala F next along with Braves.
  20. All this LL constipation dearly needs some laxitive. Probably hurts a lot with this hard shit B team blockage.
  21. Its probably going to be the last two years of B teams in the LL anyway as teams promoted and relegated will impact the next vote. No promoted team currently supports B teams in the LL, there will be another one up next season and then another before the next vote comes up. Support for B teams club support will fade as the likes of Gretna and Edinburgh Uni go down, one will follow the other this or next season. Very likely East Kilbride will go up either this season or next so another club supporting the B teams leaving the LL.
  22. I dread the inevitable mess they are going to make of Fallout 5.
  23. I was under the impression that this would be Bethesda returning to the form they had a decade ago, I was mistaken after watching play throughs. I mean why spend around £60 without checking it out first. It really looks dated with graphics and amimations that could come from 2014 and there is nothing engaging or interesting about it and so so many loading screens. Compare to Cyber Punk 2077 and its game mechanics, the quests with added distractions and character back stories, dialogue and interactions, the combat and the open world element, no contest. Starfield has very little depth to it. Even Fallout 4 with all its faults and gliches is far better game as it gets your curiousity to explore and investigate and also other science fiction games like The Outer Worlds and the Mass Effect series are far superior in almost every way. Was it really worth boasting about 1000 planets to visit when 95% of them are empty and have nothing of any interest on them at all. Quantity over quality again. After the initial good reviews the game had after launch (most of these were probably the advertisers themselves multi spaming ) is now down to the level of mixed on Steam, so Bethesda did a good advertising grifting job to hype it up but as usual it left a lot of people were disappointed. I think a lot of people still want Bethesda to do well for some reason despite the the Fallout 76 debacle and its pay to progress, the way they treated loyalty was a disgrace, they lost a lot of customers. People should realise that the are only interested in taking your money than doing anything different or ground breaking anymore even though they claim so, why do people get taken in by their bullshit? Nah I'll give it a miss and wait for Death Stranding 2. I've heard The Planet Crafter is a good game. Awww poor Todd
  24. The Northern Isles I've been to Stornaway but never not explored the Western Isles including Skye. The corner of Scotland above Ullapool to Thurso, including Durness. Fife east of Kirkcaldy which includes St. Andrews. I've been to Mull and Iona but none of the other Hebrides. I've only walked up Ben Wyvis, no other Munros. Using football grounds as a reference for which towns and villages - Kelty, Pittmedden, Turriff, East Kilbride, Tranent, Blairgowrie, Kirriemuir, Carnoustie, Scone, Halkirk, Bonar Bridge, Maud, I've seen both Ellen and Dyce plenty of times from transport but never set foot on that land. Stonehaven, Longside, Broxburn, Crossgates, Cardenden, Haddington, Passing Luncarty on the A9 doesn't really count, Penicuik, Blackburn, Denny, Crosshill, Newtongrange, Oakley, Prestonpans, St. Andrews, Innerleithen, Whitburn, Rosewell, Armadale, Coldstream, Dalkeith, Easthouses, Ormiston, Peebles, Thornton, Bathgate, Fauldhouse, Harthill, Lochgelly, Stoneyburn, West Calder, West Linton, New Abbey, Creetown, Dalbeattie, Lochmaben, Lockerbie, Newton Stewart, Moffat, Wigtown, Sanquhar, Beith, Clydebank, Cumnock, Darvel, New Cumnock, Hurlford, Troon, Blantyre, Johnstone, Kilwinning, Maybole, Neilston, Renfrew (Town), Rutherglen, Shotts, Viewpark, Ardrossan, Dalmellington, Forth, Kilsyth, Muirkirk, Wishaw, Stevenston, Bellshill, Dalry, Girvan, Kirkconnel, Lanark (Town), Lesmahagow, Port Glasgow, Alexandria, Campbeltown, Giffnock, Lugar, Newmains, Saltcoats, Stonehouse, Banchory, Whitehills, Eyemouth, Duns. Plenty of these places I've passed through or by on public transport by never set foot on, I don't count them. Not too bothered about the town list and the football grounds, more interested in visiting Orkney, Shetland or any of the Western Islands now. Never been to Skye ffs I don't like these tourist ridden places very much. Still plenty of places away from people to visit.
