  1. Hideo Itami vs Tyler Breeze was a very decent opener to the show and in my opinion the best match Itami has put on since arriving in NXT. 7/10 Corbin vs Bull was the best of their matches to date but for a no dq match I thought it was a little disappointing. In the last two matches of Corbin we have seen just how much he has to learn in the ring, looks very stiff and thought Bull came out of it looking much better. Probably my least favourite match of the night 5/10 We knew Balor vs Neville would be good and it didn't disappoint. Match of the night and would love to see a rematch at some point. I thought it was obvious Balor would win so I was surprised about how little that took away from enjoyment of the match. Some great spots and really good finish. Not sure where Neville goes from here. 9/10 Tag Title Match as mentioned in previous posts was ruined by Sin Cara and Kalisto however I still enjoyed it in its own way and really like the look of Blake and Murphy. Hope they invest some time in these guys to fully see what they can do. I enjoyed the stuff that wasn't botched. I liked the Solomon Crowe tease at the end of the match 6/10 The Fatal4Way - I think that may be my favourite multiple women match in many many years. Thought it was very entertaining and some really good moments. Every woman impressed me. Night and Day to the crap we get served on the main roster. The finish surprised me but on reflection I quite liked it for that very reason. 8/10 I liked Zayn vs Owens. Similar style match to the Cena vs Lesnar one. I haven't seen any of Owens stuff prior to NXT so I'm not sure what he is capable of or any limitations he may have. Enjoyable and look forward to them both upping their game in their next match. 7/10 Overall 7/10
  2. Buzzing for this. Will be watching on network tomorrow morning so hopefully avoid spoilers until then
  3. Yeah Tyrese was crap. Now that he is dead, are graphic novel people able to tell us what made him so important and bad ass in the comics?
  4. Enjoyed it, wasn't blown away by it. Sort of what I expected. Plenty of time to grow
  5. Had one for about 18 months but never used it. I think it's time to break my slow cooker virginity. I have a big pork loin in the freezer. Just need to decide what to do with it
  6. His finisher is good and the gimmick is ok but he needs alot of in ring work. His match with Neville last week was essentially his first non squash matches and he didn't look great, especially his selling I think I remember which was woeful. Young lad though and I guess this is the purpose of NXT so I hope he gets time to improve his skills.
  7. Really good episode, livid at the outcome. Considering we are only half way through the season, this has been a terrific first half.
  8. Are they not trialling a reintroduction of Wolves at the moment somewhere?
  9. Siobhan the deputy sheriff is clearly the tidiest all rounder on the show.
  10. Another good episode of NXT this week and things shaping up nicely for the PPV next week: Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens - NXT Title Finn Balor vs Adrian Neville - Number 1 Contenders Match Blake and Murphy vs The Lucha Dragons - NXT Tag Titles Charlotte vs Bayley vs Sasha vs Becky - NXT Womens Title Baron Corbin vs Bull Dempsey - No DQ Match Hideo Itami vs Tyler Breeze Solomon Crowe Debut I'm interested in that full card
  11. Callum is right. The TV channels have rights for Raw and SD for 30 days after airing so they aren't allowed to be on network until after that
  12. Thought the Austin-HHH Podcast was excellent and one of the best things I have watched on the network so far. HHH came across really well and made me feel confident that he really knows what the business is all about and the way to take it forward once Vince is gone. Thought he almost tried to bury Vince a few times with different things he said without coming out directly and saying it. In summary from what I gathered: - Reigns is getting his shot and it's pretty much 'sink or swim' for him with his push - Wants Raw to go back to 2 hours but Vince says naw - Wants to give women wrestlers more airtime in proper storylines and matches - Doesn't want Chyna going into hall of fame cause of her porn but deserves to be in it because of what she acheived - NXT is 100% his project and there is alot more freedom for their promos and storylines - Door is open for CM Punk in future if suits both parties - Talks a bit about Kurt Angle, Goldberg, Eddie Guerrero, Warrior, Sammartino, DX etc - Recognises that most network subscribers are hardcore fans/adults so NXT is geared that way - Got the feeling he didn't like scripted promos - Talked about how keyfabe was dead and its about working with reality or something like that - About how writers/creative only have so much influence as once Vince wants something they have to go with it All in all thought he came across very well
  13. He might be now I guess as it's a year since iv seen him play but definitely used to be a wing back when he first broke through
  14. Kenny Anderson will be a great signing for Hearts. When Waalwijk were in the the top league last year Wotte and Strachan had gone to watch him in line with a possible cap but obviously didn't come to anything. Anytime I have seen him he was playing wingback so it's possible he has moved up the pitch now and a full on wide player.
  15. Yeah a quieter episode this week to give us a break from the fast paced previous episodes. It looks like it's set up nicely for next week though with that ending. It may not be the best show on TV but it's certainly one of my favourites
  16. The network needs to get chromecast support asap
  17. There is a new UK WWE podcast from Talksport of all people. It's 2 episodes in and it's actually not too bad. In the two weeks it's had two cracking interviews with Stephanie Mcmahon and then Seth Rollins this week. I quite like the presenter of the show but the guest guy 'Rob Leigh' sounds like a tw*t and sounds like someone who is only watching wrestling as a job rather than as a fan. It's called 'The Gorilla Position'
  18. That third episode was epic!
  19. Someone from Swansea apparently ETA - maybe one of the young scottish lads on loan
  20. I reckon we could see Breeze in the rumble. He hasn't done much in NXT for a while and they could just be waiting for his right moment. It wouldn't surprise me to have him team up with Fandango in some way. They badly need to do something with Fandango and with Miz/Mizdow likely to split very soon they could use another heel team and if you are going to pair anyone with Fandango then Tyler Breeze probably would fit into the mould better than anyone else
  21. Piper was pinned 3 times from 1984 -2003 1984 vs Snuka in a strap match 1991 vs Flair in a house show 1992 vs Bret for IC title Thing is at least with Piper he was in main events, was great on mic, had a colourful gimmick with kilt and music etc
  22. Hacksaw Jim Duggan - I hate this guy. Been doing some reading and some stats on him today and I just don't get it. In his WWF run from 1987 - 1993 - He had 208 matches and only 13 defeats!!!!! - 4 of those defeats were by DQ or CO so was only actually pinned 8 times (1 submission) - His 8 times pinned were against Ted Dibiase, Andre, Savage (x2), IRS, Earthquake, Slaughter and Bam Bam - His 1 submission was against Valentine Why the hell was this guy so protected? It's not like he was even pushed or involved in any title pictures or major storylines. In fact he only had 3 title matches in his 6 year run with the WWF and he WON them all!! - He beat Rick Rude and Honkey Tonk in IC matches by DQ and CO - He beat Slaughter in a WWF Championship match by DQ I honestly can't work out why this guy was so over with the fans given that: - He was total sh*t in the ring - He was fat, ugly and out of shape (not even big guy fat - average guy fat if that make sense) - No mic skills - No costume apart from blue trunks - No music - No moves (his finisher was a clothesline) - The USA chant didn't start until 91 so he was already well into his WWF run - Can't imagine he shifted much merchandise - He didn't have good matches - I can't think of a single good Jim Duggan match or storyline Literally the only thing I can think of that made him over with the fans was his "Hoooooooo" chant. I have to give him credit I guess for having a successful career on paper but I just can't believe how he did it Is there any other wrestler that managed to carve such a successful winning career in WWF as Duggan despite being utter sh*t and not involved in any major storylines or titles?? Jim Duggan rant over
  23. Raw and Smackdown aren't available on the app until 30 days after airing. I suspect it's so that the TV channels that broadcast them have first dibs and for all the repeats etc
