therollorose
Everything I can find online is just saying Hibs had bid for Tait, nothing confirming it. Looking like it hasn’t happened, with any luck anyway!
Paco
Media seem confident the paperwork is all in order so it does seem the move is happening. If it’s only £100k there’s absolutely nothing that can be said in defence of the club. They’ll herald sell-ons and add-ons as some sort of amazing addition to the deal when a) they’re pretty much standard, it isn’t some incredible added extra and b) much like with Bowie there’s a very real chance they never come to anything anyway, you have to put them in but accept they might be worth nothing. £100k isn’t even the difference between a couple of places in the league table. We were always going to sell him, I think we all get that. But to the first bidder and what appears to be a very low fee for someone with three years left on a contract? f**k off.
Brashy's Boots
Do the hashtags on the Coulson birthday post mean he's being recalled or is that just branding?#timetocomehome#backststarks

Aye, but we might get to keep playing him for 3 more months Edited September 1, 2021 by renton
Raith Against The Machine
It's a little bit of a throwaway line, but Edinburgh Live have the Tait move down as "one that didn't come off".
Ro Sham Bo
Yeah that looks like it mightn't have gone through. I suppose it allows the club to spin the fact that holding on Tait makes it a good window for us. No doubt he'll be off in January but when that does happen, he can't be allowed to go for any less than Bowie did. I know there is a premium on forwards, but Tait has played more games than Bowie, and at a higher level, and arguably has greater potential. It will be madness to let him leave for any less than £150-£200k.
Beachbum
The Edinburgh Evening News/Scotsman has the transfer completed. The timing of the report is this morning at 1.01am https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/hibs/hibs-involved-in-late-night-drama-as-beyond-wire-deal-for-st-mirrens-jamie-mcgrath-fails-3366526 Earlier, Hibs had completed the season-long loan switch of central defender Nathan Wood from Middlesbrough. That was followed by the formal arrival of 31-year-old former Clyde goalkeeper David Mitchell on a deal until 2023. And, then Raith Rovers teenager Dylan Tait completed a late-night medical and signed a deal. Seen as a player for the future, he will now be loaned back to the Kirkcaldy club until at least January. You'd have to be a complete moron to sell one of your young players without a sell on clause these days, what with all 92 English league clubs seemingly having endless money. One good year/18 months and he'll be away for a decent fee.

Regardless of the sell on clause, £100k if true seems a ridiculously low figure for his potential.

renton
Just thinking back to the CEO'S interview... I guess we are now Rith Rovers. Since the A was meant to stand for Ambition.

Ding Dang Doo
Trust it to be the Rovers who are still waiting to confirm the sale of one of their best players nearly 9 hours after the window closed. Amateur hour once again at Starks. What an absolute shambles.
Beachbum
Can't wait for the positive spin from the club on this.
Ex Machina
Will be fuming if we've let Tait go for that little. Two years left on on his contract, our biggest prospect and an important part of our team. More so with the recent news of Vaughan's injury. It would need to be a massive sell-on percentage to make it anywhere near justifiable but even then it's a stretch as I'm sure we could've got more by holding out. After the seemingly good deal for Bowie, it seemed we'd learned our lessons on transfers but if this has gone through, evidently not. Absolutely embarrassing.
