Jeem
Kevin Smith going whereever, who cares, nothing will happen until October with him at the earliest so why the fuss. If he goes to the Pars then good luck to him. He was a Loan Legend in his own right and a major contribution to our Promotion last year. I have spoken with a few Pars fans who have not heard this rumour and agree it is probably a wind up so why get all up in arms abou it? According to www.fifetoday.co.uk/sport we have a Verbal agreement with an SPL club to take a striker on loan (Most likely this new argie kid from DUFC) which should be concluded within the next 7 to 10 days. Focus on ourselves and not what other teams are doing. I can't wait for a great game on 29/08/09 and regardless of the result just hope that the game was a good one.

Thats last weeks news This weeks news McGlynn’s plans to bring an unnamed Premier League striker to Stark’s Park on loan—several names have been bandied about but the manager won’t yet name who he has in mind. “The lad is playing with his club and injuries have cropped up with some of their players and the player himself, so it’s not working out as well as we’d expected, but that’s the sort of thing that happens,” he continued.
Guest Dunc?
Will getting loan papers signed up and everything take longer, because he's Argentinian, and as such, a non-EU worker?

Finally a bit of info, cheers Jeem, don't think it will materialise by the sounds of things, but sounds like he would be a good addition
Jeem
Finally a bit of info, cheers Jeem, don't think it will materialise by the sounds of things, but sounds like he would be a good addition Not a problem. To answer the question of what type of player he is :- Kevin Smith is a good young striker. Is fast, strong and confident on the ball. He will take on defenders and make very good runs to get into position. Very good finisher in the 18 yard box but can also pose a threat from further out. Weaknesses are that his right foot at times is only for standing on and he isn't up to much in the air. 18 Goals in 27(?) games last year for us which would have probably been a 20 goal year had he not been injured in March or had his good run interuppted by 3 weeks during the January Transfer Window. Would be a good acquisition to any First Division Team and with the right support can easily hit double figures in this Division.

Enigma
Will getting loan papers signed up and everything take longer, because he's Argentinian, and as such, a non-EU worker? His name suggests he may have some Italian ancestory and possibly duel nationality, much like Ferrero did.

If he managed to get a visa for an SPL club, he can surely get a visa for a first division one. Unless there are certain immigration regulations I don't know about
pantene proV
Will getting loan papers signed up and everything take longer, because he's Argentinian, and as such, a non-EU worker? Surely this would all have been taken care of when Utd signed him and as such, the paperwork for loaning him out would be a formality Or is it more red tape between 2 seperate football governing bodies that you're talking about? Anyway, is this guy really the one McGlynn's got his eye on? Or is this just wild speculation from us once again?

A few of the boys who have said it is him are the same boys who have been right the last 3 or 4 times, including Greig off of FT who does seem to have his connections. At this moment it is wild rumour but thats how all facts start out

Fifes Elite Force
so were your cup finals.. Aye we lost them against a better team although I thought we were unlucky in the Scottish cup finals, the league cup was a complete disaster granted. We had some good days out at Hampden, also the town was buzzing the weeks building up to them and the games in the earlier rounds of the cup runs hold some fond memories so I am pleased we got there, it would have been better if we had taken one of the trophies home to add to the Scottish cup honours we have already, but thats life

Jimmy85
Bullshit rumours invented by wee boys very rarely materialise after all. Why are you guys so defensive about this subject? Would it really hurt you that much if he joined the Pars? We 'let' you guys have Simmons and you don't here us greeting about it.
