Raithie Posted November 6, 2015 Share Posted November 6, 2015 Always felt Murray had a knack of putting together a decent squad (on paper at least) but the standard of football was horrific to watch at times. Substitutions are normally like for like, no plan B (as has been mentioned already), can usually set your watch to when he'll make a sub (75 minute mark), if we're drawing with 15 minutes to go he'll happily settle for that, interviews were full of the most cliche drivel, had a habit of getting the team off to a flyer but gradually dwindling down the table as the league went on etc. Sounds largely negative but will never forget the Ramsdens final which was a fantastic experience. Never went to Ibrox for the SC game so can't comment but it was naturally a tremendous result. Not entirely unreasonable to think he can be a success elsewhere. But he'll need that fabled 'plan B' and a greater sense of adventure. Saying it was 'more important not to concede' at 0-0 with 15 minutes to go at home, and waiting til the 93rd minute to make a like for like sub while 2-1 down at home to Rangers stand out as excellent examples of that..
