Turned down the opportunity of an interview though. Reporting Scotland can f**k right off. Made the national BBC News though. Quality acting always rises to the top IMO. ICTChris
I worked in this building until 2015. It’s right in the middle of Edinburgh as well, very cool photos of the plants reclaiming it.

Bairnardo
Talking about tattoos, people that say they aren't painful are just liars.Correct. Its bearable, obviously. But its a rapidly vibrating needle being scraped across your skin repeatedly with the intention of injecting ink. Its sore. If you think it isnt sore, see a doctor about your nervous system because its fucked.

For some reason, a large number of women find the pain associated with tattoos pretty insignificant

alta-pete
Late to the price of a pint party but at Pats Bar behind Paisley College in the early 90s it was £1.25 for a pint of T and a pie beans n chips. I never did find out what it cost for just the pint on its own…

MSU
I've had tattoos on my upper arm, inside arms and calf and probably the only one that was actually painful to the point where I was ready to boot the guy's pie was the one on my calf. The others have been more like someone dragging a sharpish nail down my skin for an hour. Getting an ingrown toenail removed, in my experience, was much much worse.

I'm with your missus. Only got a couple, but the one on my calf was exactly how she describes it, despite the fact that I bled like a stuck pig. The one on my chest had a few dicey moments as the needle hit the neck tendons, but was similarly not bad either. I think people's brains just process pain signals very differently. Nothing to do with being a wuss or anything - you just can't really compare how the same thing feels to two different people.

Not pain, however I can sit in a dentist chair for hours and not give a f**k. I had 6 crown replacements including re-done root canal over a period of months, the dentist took at least 4-5 sessions before he was convinced I hadn't died in the chair.

Yeah, I've known people who've said similar - one of the wife's relatives doesn't accept anaesthetic because she's a fruitcake, but also claims it's not a big deal to have root canal surgery without it. A fucking useless dentist fucked up the injections when I had fillings many years ago, and I soaked the chair with sweat while he drilled away at me. Absolutely white-knuckling for the best part of an hour and practicing transcendental meditation to escape. So I guess maybe my brain isn't too fussed about pain from the skin, but wouldn't be able to cope with meeting Laurence Olivier.

Derry Alli
I don't find most areas I've had being tattooed painful. It gets a bit tedious and annoying after a while. Certain parts were really sore though. Mainly my toes. I've yet to venture to my back. I once sat aside a guy getting his Adam apple tattooed and the involuntary noises coming from him put me right off ever doing that.
SANTAN
I've only got tiny tattoos so can't say they hurt but they all lasted about 10 seconds each. I mind hearing about the women and pain thing, apparantly this works near the wrist and with bands and stuff, like a guy having a band around the wrist would be sore but less so for a lassie. No clue if that's shite or not tbh but since being told it notice women with full bands more often than guys. The thought of getting a tattoo near the wrist gives me the heebies.

I got my tattoo next to a US Navy Seal who was getting an eagle across his back. He was sat back to front on a chair with a towel on the back support of the chair for him to bite down on as he was whimpering like a little bitch.

Was in for 11 but breaks etc. I've done 5 or 6 full days. Calf got nippy towards the end (he worked up the way so it was constant at the back of the knee and pressure on already worked - going other way would have been a doddle) sleeve was a piece of piss in all honesty, bar around the elbow. Chest was easily bearable. The 15/20 minutes on the toes though? Mama Mia no more. Make it stop. Make it stop.

Aye this guy was Polish, built like a brick shit house and kept jumping about for 5 minutes telling everyone how great it feels and tensing his muscles trying to act the big man with his entourage. He'd then go back in the chair and sound like he was being beheaded with all the gurgling and crying. "Nae idea what you're saying, mate".
