No, totally different; though I can understand your inability to realise the difference.

It's probably just me, but I find stuff like that a bit dated. Like builders wolf-whistling at passing women. Same with the term burd, which I wince at everytime I read it. Belongs in the 1970s to me. Probably a personal gripe. You're looking at it from the wrong angle. The joke is on the poster of "wid". The object is either completely unattainable or is simply used to illustrate the posters desperation, or indeed deprivation. Similarly, Burdz, as in McAvennie type jokes. They are definitely shite, but the joke is on the McAvennie character. Is there anything else you'd like to suck the life out of? Cosmic Joe
Spent much of the morning arguing with folk on Facebook who are adamant that most of the players representing France on Sunday are not French, despite their entire starting line-up being born in France. Absolute cretins. -
SweeperDee
Can anyone who has a better eye than I tell me what these hallmarks are? I can make out 925; which indicates it’s relatively high content silver, but the rest? No luck. Florentine_Pogen
Lion Passant = Sterling Silver 925 = 9 ct The stamped letters at the start are the makers stamp I think. The 'V' at the end is the date/year of manufacture. Perhaps 2020. Can't make out the Assay Office mark. Without an Assay stamp there is no guarantee of silver content. https://www.assayofficelondon.co.uk/faqs Edited December 20, 2022 by Florentine_Pogen
