There is nothing more sobering than emptying every single personal possession from drawers, wardrobes and cupboards. The amount of stuff we have is criminal and I actually hate myself for spending so much money on impulse buys. As we're changing countries, there is only so much we can take with us so it's now a constant battle about what to take, sell, leave, give away or just leave. The worst part is, I consider myself to be socialist but I have clearly been led down this capitalist path way too easily. The result of it all is that I intend to be much more strict on spending in the new place. Having said that, within six months I will have another George Foreman which I will use for toasties only, two stick blenders and enough tupperware to preserve the leftovers from the feeding of the five thousand.
