Right now it is a very strange mix of 2 two bedroom places. I say strange because one is on the ground floor and first floor, while the other is entirely upstairs. The flat upstairs only has one bathroom however, which is an en-suite in the larger bedroom. Initial thought was to change the layout slightly and convert it to a 3 bedroom and 1 bedroom flat, and rent out the smaller one. The way the conversion was done originally makes this impossible, so if we buy it we'll convert back to one house and leave it at that. 18 minutes ago, Jacksgranda said: It gives you a bit of room for manoeuvre, and if you get it for that what you save on the asking price - which you can presumably afford - will help pay for the upgrade required. I'm not that fussed about it now, having seen it. The offer we have made is pretty much take it or leave it. If we get it at that price I'll be happy to spend what is needed and stay there, if they knock it back then we'll keep waiting and spend the money on something that needs very little done to it. The big selling point is the area, though that aspect of it is more important to my missus than me!

It was the original design for the stand at the new Meadowbank Stadium. Rejected because it was too big.

HI HAT
Was taking the good lady wife to the shops late this morning, I know it's a great way to spend your day off, and we passed the old guy who lives round the corner from us, he was cutting his grass, it's February and he was cutting his grass, even the wife thought he's lost is marbles, I give it a fortnight and the wife will be hinting that ours needs cut as well. Madness.

Romeo
We weren't meant to find out until late March about my job.Counters section was meant to be going through it first but the media managed to find out before staff it was more than one section that would be affected ( my department also and 2 other areas) but because they found out they have had to explain to staff what is happening. Now it's a long waiting game. Shite. It'll be alright mate, it'll work out for you.Shite having to deal with the stress.

NJ2
Could be worse. Just wished I knew a week before rather than 6 weeks or all before. However in quite a positive person so shall carry on that way. I work however with arseholes so work for next 6 weeks is gonna be shite.Best of luck, G! Just think you’ve either got 6 weeks left with the arseholes then you’re on your way bigger and better things - you’re Sainsbury’s or M&S level guy - or it’s only 6 weeks until the arseholes get punted!

Can't you just start applying for jobs elsewhere just now and leave if you get something better and that solves the arsehole work colleagues problem. In the short term anyway, until you get to know your new workmates and find out they're arseholes as well.
NJ2
This is the plan. However unsure what I am wanna You’ll not get your redundancy money if that were too happen but at least you’d not have it to worry about for the next 6 weeks

However, unless I am mistaken @G_Man1985, didn't you leave Tesco and then go back? In that case the redundancy package might not be too much, although I suppose every little helps etc. That pun definitely hasn't been used before.

WhiteRoseKillie
The more I hear about the save Banks made from Pele, the more I realise how few have seen the save Bobby Ferguson pulled off at Tynecastle in May 1965 - which actually contributed to a trophy being won.
