We work alongside Gp's and unfortunately due to the lack of them you tend to end up seeing us. It's important to remember you're only an ANP despite practice managers thinking you can see the same level of complex patient that a gp can. This is despite the fact that GP's are incredibly well trained, have shit loads of experience and generally know what they're doing. Well a lot of them are. Anp's not so much. As long as you know your limitations then you're fine. It's the ones who actually think they're as good as a GP that end up in the shit. I'm fine as I know I'm bang average. If a load of photos of tick bites arrive in front of you today then they're from me. Quite like this new way of just sending photos of various body parts to the doctor, rather than having to sit in a waiting room with noisy kids and spluttering coffin-dodgers in searing heat listening to Forth FM.

Good stuff, presumably you would just need to make your hand writing illegible and wear a stethoscope correctly then your get to be a GP

hearthammer
Yesterday, i managed to prepare, devein and cook perfectly the bag of prawns i'd been given a couple of days earlier. First time i've attempted the process as i normally get them pre-shelled and prepped.

BFTD
The green-trousered pod people are taking over. Does every NHS treatment room look the same? Impressive.

BFTD
Knows exactly what goes on with the drunken, nicotine-addicted kitchen staff, yet continues to order food from them. Seems legit. Hopefully they get their (IRL, not internets) lawyer to fire off a letter for maximum lulz.

This seems to be a regular occurrence: something happens and folk take to social media to slate the company straight away. If that was me I'd take it back and tell them (and probably ask for a replacement [emoji38]), not bitch and moan online. Stupid cow still eats it all.

I've had to explain to my bosses a couple of times that staying off social media is a smart move. For some reason a lot of older folk get the idea that it's all sharing pictures of events and heartwarming stories about employees raising funds for kittens, and they get a real fright when you show them some of the witch hunts that go on.
