Anyway, I got offered a free piece of artwork today from a highly sought after up and coming, if somewhat controversial new artist. Unfortunately I had to turn the offer down. When I did I'd either watch a wee bit of new releases to see if the game looked like something I'd want to play and the other ones would be horror games. Usually Outlast or Resi 4. I'll watch it if it's a game I'm looking at getting or I am struggling to get into. I could watch an eFIFA tournament if the guys playing are in the same room/studio and you can watch their reactions. I couldn't watch if you only saw either the game or one player. In the case of competitive gaming, it's the same as any other sport or competitive exercise that has spectators. You watch it to see people compete, you watch it to be entertained, you might watch certain games to watch someone good play, hear them commentate and describe what they're doing, and then improve yourself.
