KeeperDee
But regardless, I do Psychology. Unlucky etc etc. And fair enough Fudge. We could disagree all day about this but we've obviously witnessed different things that has shaped our own views on things.
Albino Rover
I think a few billion of the human population should be culled, society dissolved and mankind should go back to our neanderthal roots for a while. Natural selection would take care of the weak, stupid, sick and lazy and after a few million years of evolution we could have another go at civilisation.

As long as there is a collection of people, conscience collective will always be present. Society is greater than the sum of its parts etc etc.
Albino Rover
Aye, apart from that everything I said could realistically happen.
Hedgecutter
I think a few billion of the human population should be culled, society dissolved and mankind should go back to our neanderthal roots for a while. Sounds Sevcoesque, basically meaning i) not much will change and ii) they'll all just die again a few years down the line.
vikingTON
But regardless, I do Psychology. Unlucky etc etc. Thinking of switching from Psychology to Sociology. Luckily the way my course is structured it's actually quite easy to do, since half of my modules are Psychology and the other half are Sociology, so specialising in Sociology in 3rd year should be fine. Finding the statistical analysis in Psychology to be quite challenging since I'm not very good at mathematics. Although SPSS does most of the calculating for you, reporting the stats in the correct mathematical format is a fucking pain. Also studying Marx and Weber in classical sociological theory has got me absolutely hooked, contrasting with the Cognitive Psychology module which is not Interesting me in the slightest. Claim contradicted by the evidence: standard sociologist contribution IMO.

philpy
SweeperDee: no-one cares about the latest crock of shit your sociologist lecturer is peddling about inequality. They'll find poverty when their joke subject is scrapped by yet another university. You must do, if you feel the need to comment on it.
Cardinal Richelieu
Came into work at 7am like a fucking boss. Except I'm not a boss, just a minion.

vikingTON
But my degree programme is psychology, so... Better luck next time.
thehoss
The Wright stuff is a horrific show. You'd like to think a panel discussing topics in the newspapers would be fair and balanced but no. Dire.
Cardinal Richelieu
Did you pretend to be a boss until the boss gets in? That would be boss. I did. Except cos I was first in, there was nobody to boss about. Still, I obeyed the cardinal rule of working early / late... email the boss on any spurious topic to ensure he knows you were in at that ungodly hour.
Cardinal Richelieu
^^^promotion in 2014. Already had it if you remember... I used to be a "Champion", now I'm a "Consultant". It doesn't mean any more money, I just get to come in earlier and leave later, but at least people might now stop sending me Youtube clips of Champion the Wonderhorse.
