kiddy
Gesink riding a whole stack of climbers of the back of the peloton, on the penultimate climb, whilst JV almost have a full compliment! The rest are down to 2 or 3 including Ineos. Unbelievable, as GLM might say.
kiddy
Bernal & Quintana go pop with 13 km to go. JV still with 5 at the front.
kiddy
JV have 5, Barhain 3, Astana 2, EF 2, Movistar 2, Astana 2 UAE Trek & Michelton 1 each
kiddy
Yates attacks with 7 to go, but he's 1.42 down on GC. Edited September 13, 2020 by kiddy

jaggyness
Barring crashes or disqualification through covid can't see past Roglic. Weirdly I'm less convinced about pogacar. Could see him going pop and losing 20+ minutes on a stage.

Can he scoop bonus seconds between now & the ITT?
peasy23
Simon Yates wins the Tirreno Adriatico, Geraint Thomas had put the pressure on with a good TT that eventually saw him into second place overall, but Yates held on to win by 17 seconds.
peasy23
Lennard Kamna wins today's stage, with Carapaz second. They were 16 minutes or so ahead of the peloton with Pogacar and Roglic coming in together. Quintana slid off the back on the final climb and shipped a few more seconds. Tomorrow's stage could be a belter with the Col de la Madeleine and a mountain top finish at the even higher Meríbel.

peasy23
Kamna's shown good form the past month or so. A worthy stage winner. He was very impressive yesterday, left a lot of good riders in his wake.Bernal has withdrawn ahead of today's stage, he was over 17 minutes down.
jaggyness
If anyone is going to stop Roglic then it has to be today. All the riders say it's totally different when you get to 2000m so if true should suit Uran or Lopez. Uran putting time into Roglic be interesting as he can time trial a bit as well but really no one with the exception of Pogacar has shown any form unless they've been sandbagging
peasy23
This is brutal stuff. Carapaz out in front but being reeled in by the yellow jersey group which is shedding riders at a rate of knots. Roglic and Pogacar still together, only 3k to go.
peasy23
Lopez in front now, Roglic alone in second with Pogacar battling to hang on to him.
peasy23
Impressive from Lopez. Roglic extends his overall lead to 57 seconds, while Lopez moves into 3rd spot.
Gnash
Looks very much like Roglic now. He'd have to crash or get ill to not win from here.
jaggyness
How do people feel about bonus seconds at the tour? I'll be honest, personally, I wish they'd get rid of them. Weirdly don't bother me at the other two grand tours but I guess it's just I always grew up in tours without them. Plus I always felt it presented a truer picture of who was deservedly at the top of the overall.
