DiegoDiego
Froome is done. He'd actually have been better retiring, he clearly can't compete with the best riders anymore. Why? If you love the sport you keep on at it for a long as possible, no? Charlie Adam didn't chuck football just because he wasn't good enough for Liverpool; he surrendered his dignity and ended up at Dundee, and good on him.

Because Charlie Adam was happy to be a part of a team, not the star man. Froome is moving so he can lead a team and try to win another tour. He has next to no chance of getting near a tour podium, never mind winning another.

jaggyness
Giro going over the Stelvio today. Plenty of opportunities for GC contenders to attack
jaggyness
Giro blowing up everywhere! Will definitely see a new maglia rosa tonight. Nibali dropped by Fuglsang who is working his way back and they aren't even on the final climb yet! Also the French authorities have forbidden the race to pass into France so the penultimate stage will now be climbing the road to sestriere three times. The first time a slightly less challenging climb than the final two from the other side.
peasy23
Giro going over the Stelvio today. Plenty of opportunities for GC contenders to attackKelderman in virtual pink, plotting his own course up the Stelvio. Rohan Dennis has sat at the front of the leading 3 almost all the way up. Absolutely stunning scenery.
peasy23
Kelderman toiling now, couldn't get his jacket zipped up on the descent and ended up tossing it away, he would have been freezing at the bottom. Losing time on the front 3 at a rate of knots.
peasy23
Dennis falls away right at the start of the final climb, Geoghegan Hart and Hindley now contesting the stage win and possibly the race lead, Hart just leapfrogged Hindley in the GC by picking up 3 seconds in the bonus sprint.Fuglsang and Bilbao go past Kelderman with ease.
peasy23
TGH could be blowing his chances here, there's no way Hindley is going to help him with his team mate in virtual pink. Kelderman recovering, Bilbao chasing down the leading pair.
peasy23
Hindley wins the sprint, clock watching now to see who is in pink...
peasy23
Kelderman hangs on to go into pink, but the leading 3 only have about 20 seconds between them.

kiddy
Fantastic stage, just completely blew the GC.Thought TGH made a mistake by gabbing instead of riding up the final climb.Hindley was always going to take the sprint.15 secs covers the podium places on GC.

Going to be a cracking few days racing to the finish.

jaggyness
Over at the Vuelta, Dan Martin, who looks in arguably his best form ever, wins stage three ahead of Roglic and Carapaz in that order with only the bonus differences between them

Going to be a cracking few days racing to the finish.Tomorrow is a final chance for someone to take the Jersey from Demare on a pretty much flat stage. Got to think that the current top 3 will all be trying to put time into each other on stage 20 and particularly Pello Bilbao who is currently 4th at 1 min 19 seconds and by far the strongest time trialler. TGH will fancy his chances I reckon if he's within half a minute of the lead going into the final stage and has a similar buffer over Bilbao.
jaggyness
Stage 19 at the giro shortened after the riders threaten not to ride. Down to 150km or so rather than the 260km originally planned

Down to 150km or so rather than the 260km originally plannedPlays into Sunweb hands, but even watching it just now would bore the pants off you. The Peloton are just going to ride in. TV would do better just concentrating on the break. Vuelta not much better.
kiddy
Eurosport made a right arse of their coverage today.Let's show the Giro live, & chat shit for 10 mins, right until the GC roll in following the stage winner; whilst the Vuelta was heading for a sprint finish. They then showed highlights of the last km of the Spanish race & gave a voiceover telling you who had won, with 400m to go! #twats.
