Latino Lover
Seen Dropkick Murphys in Newcastle yesterday wasn't bad, never really listened to them much in past but was a fun 90 mins or so. Going to see the slackers tomorrow, heard very little just know of Vic ruggiero's work with Rancid
Reina
Saw Pearl Jam in Leeds last night. Unreal. Best gig I've ever been to. They played for 3 and a quarter hours and were just so good.
mrcat1990
Death From Above 1979 are playing The Garage in October. Tickets on sale tomorrow at 9am. I'm all over this.
Audaces Fortuna Juvat
Saw Pearl Jam in Leeds last night. Unreal. Best gig I've ever been to. They played for 3 and a quarter hours and were just so good. Train leaves at 07:01 for Milton Keynes tomorrow morning, and if the gig is half as good as that then I'll be over the moon. I've been lucky enough to see numerous bands over the years and PJ are the best live act going. Reina
There are rumours going about that Chris Cornell might make an appearance at MK...
Audaces Fortuna Juvat
McCready joined Soundgarden in London last Friday, so here's hoping.
Audaces Fortuna Juvat
No Cornell, but one of the best gigs I have ever been at. Vedder was on tip top form, in fact they all were, and it was a glorious three and a half hours, all rounded off with "Keep On Rockin' In The Free World".
Reina
Brilliant. :-) I was hoping for some Yellow Ledbetter, but no joy...

Gareth_Glasgow
Ben Folds was outstanding tonight at the Royal Concert Hall. I've seen him a few times now but that was probably my favourite show, great acoustics and the Rock This Bitch was hilarious.
Nutz_the_Squirrel
Ben Folds was outstanding tonight at the Royal Concert Hall. I've seen him a few times now but that was probably my favourite show, great acoustics and the Rock This Bitch was hilarious. Really funny stuff- a wonderful show. Disappointed by the turn-out to be honest, but as soon as some people read the words "concerto", "orchestra" and "seating only" then it's going to put off some of the o2/barras crowd I guess. This was my 4th time seeing BF. Discussed with my mate where this ranks in terms of the shows I've seen and I can't decide. It was so different that it deserved a category of its own. The orchestra were decent (at best) and a good night was had. Dat queue for the pissers at intermission tho.

I think you're right about the whole concerto thing putting off some the more casual/younger fans and the clash with T in the Park won't have helped either. It was excellent though, good to hear stuff like Smoke and Steven's Night Last in Town that he doesn't play live very often. The queue for swapping tickets was a nightmare as well!
JMDP
I am going to the Sziget Festival in Budapest next month as part of spending a month there. Can't wait. -
Ira Gaines
The first night doesn't impress me, but it takes an upward turn from that point. Everyone seems to get a good time slot as well. An hour at least for any semi-big acts.
Audaces Fortuna Juvat
That is a cracking setlist. Kinda wished I had went now. You know you should have you grumpy git - not all bands can come to Scotland? Will bring you a very good quality copy to a Bo'ness game this season.
cb_diamond
Frank Turner playing the Alhambra in dunfermline in September, odd choice of venue!
Smurph
Quite glad that artists are choosing more obscure and smaller venues. I'm going to see Jamie T in the Art School.
Ira Gaines
Does that guy ever fucking stop? Feels like if he's not in the studio, he's touring, and vice versa. Constantly doing stuff.
Smurph
I don't know if you're being sarcastic. He's not toured in four years and not released an album in five... unless you mean Frank Turner.

Aye, probably could have made that a bit clearer. My mistake.
