I strongly believe we'll win the league. I didn't think so at the time but agree now that we should have signed a new centre forward before the window closed. I'm not sure if we will even in Jan though given how hard it is to get someone decent. We don't have anywhere near the biggest budget . As already mentioned we have budgeted for fifth. We have extended contracts on players who were playing in league one. The other sides are bringing players in from the league above on premiership wages or outbidding other championship sides for them. The 500k difference in prize money between us and Raith is impossible for us to fill when they are also being well backed by their bod. Likes of Hanlon and Stevenson will be on more than any of our players.Partick have had a lot of cash investment from individuals too and a 500k prize money start whilst livis 600k bonus and the added parachute payments is going to easily put their budget ahead of ours. We are punching above our weight this season at the moment and if we were to miss out on promotion a minimum of nearly 300k more prize money would be coming our way for a top 4 finish which would set us up for an even better push next season. We have a decent squad and excellent first 11 due to fantastic recruitment even though we are at a budget disadvantage to at least 4 sides in this league. The last time I saw Alfie play more 'centrally' was vs Cove at the start of last season, maybe as the '10'. He was indeed 'chaos' and Cove couldn't handle him.
