Got a massive game in under 2 hours before we even start thinking about Ayr though. Maybe although I can't remember them ever bringing close to that before. I reckon we'd be lucky to get 5000 at this game. Edited February 13, 2023 by Shodwall cat 0 Quote
MetalWolf Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 I would almost rather the draw was after the final whistle tonight to see whether it matters to us or not. 0 Quote
Bairnardo Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 There's a concern over width maybe, but we need to retain and move the ball, be patient. These guys are part timers and we have worked better part timers into the ground this season. Be patient, make then run, make them work for everything. 0 Quote

If we take the recent Kelty matchfor comparison. McGlynn persevered with Morrison and Kennedy on the wings for 60 mins, on their narrow pitch, before making the treble subs Allan, Burrell and Wright. Two of them scoring. I’ll take that as a good omen. 0 Quote

That’s why I suggested 1000. 0 Quote

They also should have been beaten comprehensively by a mid table L2 team at home on Saturday before a fortuitous 90th minute equaliser and crumbling legs in ET saw them through. 0 Quote
PedroMoutinho Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 Clearly as good an opportunity as we’re going to get for a trip to hampden. However, we have a big game to navigate tonight first. I would expect a crowd of 3000-3500 at a quarter final against Ayr. 0 Quote
latapythelegend Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 Aye will take close to 2000 to a quarter final. We would hit near 5k. Massive opportunity 0 Quote

I wouldn’t expect us to have more than around 3000 either. 1 Quote

Ayr have never brought many up at any previous game. I'd be shocked if they brought nearly 2000. That's basically they're entire home support these days. It won't be far off selling out, comparing league crowds to cup crowds in the latter stages is silly. Ayr like many clubs crowds have doubled tripled quadrupled in cup games, see Darvel tonight and Partick v Rangers sure they took 2000 1 Quote

It's not on the season ticket so it's always a bit more of a struggle and it's probably on the TV too. 3500 to 4000 is probably the likely crowd . Last time we played them in the cup there was 1800 there I think. Edited February 13, 2023 by Shodwall cat 1 Quote

ClathyDave Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 Is the game on Falkirk TV for those overseas? Or do I need to get a VPN trial to watch on BBC? Cheers in advance! 0 Quote
