Mad Vlad speaks...

Mr Vladimir Romanov today issued the following statement after recent revelations that have had a hugely damaging affect on the game in this country.

Mr Romanov, who has been consistent in his views since investing in Scottish football in 2005, said:

"The opinion of Heart of Midlothian FC in regards to the current situation of Scottish football is clear and robust.

"The football mafia represented by former owners of Rangers FC and Rupert Murdoch's media are to blame for some of the worst problems to hit Scottish football and must not be allowed back in under any circumstances.

"As regards the club itself, we can only express our deepest condolences to its supporters, who have been lied to for so many years.

"It had to happen sooner or later. Victories were achieved not by sporting merits, but through slander, conspiracies amongst players and their poaching via third parties, unfair pressuring of referees, who in themselves are as valuable to the fabric of football as the football stars themselves.

"All of this brought hollow victories and destroyed football. We can also mention the attempts to eliminate Hearts with the help of the tax petitions, through false accusations and threats to revoke the club license. There is a saying about digging a grave for someone: you get it for yourself …

"Without these people football will become cleaner and stronger. Without Murdoch the whole of society will improve, in particularsport and culture.

"Supporters deserve a new beginning and have to accept the fact that their club has to start from the lower league, keeping order in the SPL and without creating unfair competition with other clubs.

"As regards the pitiful state of Scottish football finances, a lot of the blame should be placed at the doors of Murdoch's media. They pay huge sums to English clubs, whilst in Scotland, where football is better supported per capita than anywhere else in Europe and there are more cable or Sky subscribers per capita than in England, clubs receive peanuts for their broadcasting rights.

"At the very least this is discrimination and protectionism for the English football product, which at the same time stunts the development of the game in Scotland, that is regarded as the cradle of football.

"I feel that it is absolutely realistic to create a company that would bring to Scottish clubs at least the same broadcasting income, and even grow it by 50-100% over the next two to three years. This company should be in the hands of Scottish clubs and work with those who want to earn money the honest way, instead of conducting business the Murdoch way.

"They have lived beyond law and all morals, and should now be declared beyond the pale. A society that allows the destruction of integrity in sport, which is a crucial part of Scottish culture, is destroying itself - and all for the benefit of a media aborigine.

Fuckin love the crazy b*****d! We are all Mad Vlad!

So how do we stand?

We need 5 NO votes, and as things stand we have..........

Motherwell NO (almost certain if its a fan vote)

Hibernian NO (Petrie places integrity over money)

Hearts NO (wahey Mad Vlad)

Dundee United NO (the pressure from the fans will be too much)

Aberdeen possible NO (as above)

Celtic possible NO (every commentator says so, but they have the most to lose)

St Mirren unknown (about to hand over the reigns to the fans)

Ross County unknown (very quiet on the issue)

Inverness unknown (as above)

St Johnstone unknown (as above)

Rangers Oldco YES (obviously)

Kilmarnock YES (chairman is a clown)

You are sooooooooooo wrong. Hearts NO. Aberdeen NO. St Mirren NO (if left to fans). St Johnstone NO (if they want to sell season tickets).

We are winning the war against not only the cheats but all the arsehole Scottish media that have sucked up to them for years.

1-1 (2-1 the "no's" if we include Well) in todays declared votes going by the following:-

Michael Johnston heartened by Killie season ticket sales

By John Barnes

BBC Scotland Chairman Michael Johnston is encouraged by a five per cent rise in season ticket sales at Kilmarnock compared to the same period last year.

But he warns that the club will need an extra 1,000 fans at home games should a 'newco' Rangers not be admitted to the Scottish Premier League.

And he admits that forward planning has been hindered by the uncertainty.

"The next few weeks are critical in terms of preparing the playing squad for the new season," said Johnston.

The 12 SPL sides will meet on 4 July to decide whether a new Rangers should be granted entry to the top flight.

And Johnston is concerned by the potential loss of revenue should that vote go against the Ibrox club.

Pre-season training for Killie begins on 25 June and some out-of-contract squad members have yet to be offered new deals.

Manager Kenny Shiels would also like to recruit some of the signing targets he has identified.

"The uncertainty over Rangers' participation in the SPL and the potential consequences of that for the level of gate receipts and TV revenues received via the SPL has meant that we have not been able to press ahead with our plans," explained Johnston.

"For that reason, the news on season ticket sales offers encouragement and, hopefully, we'll be able to continue to report positive news as we proceed through the renewal process.

"It's a sobering thought, however, that we'd need around 1,000 additional adult season ticket sales to make up for the loss of two home fixtures against Rangers next season - but if that becomes a necessity, then that's what we'll aim to do.

"So, we're looking for the wider issues to be resolved quickly, which will allow us and the rest of the SPL clubs to finalise budgets and pre-season plans and get back to playing football.

"Now, perhaps more than ever before, we need our true supporters to back the club - regardless of who "Club 12" turns out to be."

The soon-to-be liquidated Rangers were replaced by a Club 12 on the SPL's fixtures list, with Kilmarnock hosting them on day one of the new term .

So you aren't buying a season ticket because Used Car Salesman Thompson might rip you off?

Nope. I'm willing to pay a little more for my season ticket if it comes to it, only after I know the club have listened to the voices of the paying customers who constitute the fact they have a business to run in the first place. Nice try, but you couldn't hit a coo in the arse with a banjo mate.

I'm letting Mr. Thomson know that if he does the right thing, I'll dig deep to make up a bit of the difference. If it costs £2 more to get into every SPL match this season that's a price me and a whole lot of people are willing to pay. Once less pint on the way to the game......two more on the way back if I feel good about having watched sport prevail. Economics at work in the real world. Everyone wins. Come and join us......

So we're looking so far towards Aberdeen, Hearts, Dundee United, possibly Motherwell all saying no. Throw in Celtic having to make the choice between either selling their fans out for commerical revenue. St Johnstone have sold relatively few season tickets so far so that may have an influence. Hopefully the fans keep up the pressure upon their clubs and let them know NewCo aren't welcome.

There will be no figures, just a yes or no..

That's practically inviting clubs to pledge allegiance to their fans and promise to doom the cheaters, then vote Yes!

Other than offering a cash prize for all that vote Yes, how much more of a head start could they give Rangers for this vote?

I also find it unfair that 4 "Yes" votes will overrule 7 "No" votes.

You're reading the whole thing wrongly.

8 Yes votes are required.

If 7 clubs vote for and 5 vote against, then they won't get in.

Probably???

I would hope all Motherwell fans keep an open mind until they have read the material the board provides. Fan ownership means a lot more responsibility. We need to put the long term stability of our club first.

This along with Hearts announcement and Hibs posturing means we will see other clubs get in line to say No to Newco. The floodgates have been opened.

Well done to the board. This is what co-operation between the fans and custodians of the club looks like.

Probably going to vote No to Newco although I will have a good read through the material provided by the board before coming to a definite conclusion.

Wind up merchant!

'Probably' ????

What 'material' do you believe your board can provide you don't already know about from here, the Rangers Tax Case or Paul McConville?

Or perhaps you depend on Leggoland for your factual insights?

Link ?

There was a statement saying 7,000 had been sold which was released before the cup final but none since.

However if you look on Hearts' eTicketing site then we have indeed sold close to 9,000.
