Peas n Gravy
Rest assured once the season is over Rangers will be liquidated. Duff & Duffer are simply killing time, pretending to work behind the scenes until then. They know that if they went into liquidation now then the SPL would be forced to declare all Rangers results void and effectively throw them out of the league. But if it's done in the close season then not only can they claim prize money they can perhaps see a phoenix club take Rangers place in the SPL before the next season starts. That's pretty much how i see things unfolding. I can't see them get given prize money though as i think that'll go straight to the teams they owe money to.
HTG
Anyone tell me why this thread is necessary. It seems to me that it is about the administration of rangers. I'm sure saw a thread about that somewhere ...
Homer Thompson
No you are not wrong. There is a 600+ page thread on what happened nearly 3 years ago at Livi when Angelo Massone dd it all on a much smaller scale. He hung on to the club until one minute before midnight and eventually walked away with a tidy sum after running the club into the ground. At one point there were numerous court cases pending, most players unpaid with others being peddled off for peanuts to anyone who would pay in cash and things so bad at one point that the only electricity in the building was provided by a hired generator chugging away just outside the main entrance. And all the the while the SFA sat back and did sweet FA. What should they have done? You are right, though, there are a lot of similarities between Whyte and Massone. I wonder how long it will be before details of Whytes accommodation and travel expenses, when he visited Glasgow, come out - not to mention the management fees Edited March 30, 2012 by Mr X
Macshimmy
One of the most interesting aspects within the document is the purchase price of £1 and confirmation that it was paid. Since this saga began some people have been hi-jacking the debate by stating inaccurate opinions such as " Craig Whyte used the Ticketus cash to buy the club". It seems clear that he paid £1 for the club and promised to invest money once he was in control. He therefore now owns the club and for the administrators to change his status because it's inconvenient in the pursuit of their goals, they must be living in fantasy land. Theres a "tick-tock" clause in there as well, in the shape of undertakings Whyte made regarding his future plans: Future Plans As required by the Takeover Panel, where The Rangers FC Group makes any statement regarding any course of action it intends to take, such statement will be considered to apply for a period of 12 months from the date of this document. It is The Rangers FC Group's intention to: continue to run the Club as a football club from Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow. It is anticipated that there will be no likely repercussions on employment and the locations of the Club's place of business, nor is it the intention of The Rangers FC Group to redeploy any of the fixed assets of the Club; not make any changes in respect of the continued employment of the employees and management of the Club and of its subsidiaries, including material change in their terms of employment; So, the future as defined in this document only runs until... 6 May 2012 Edited March 30, 2012 by Macshimmy
roverthemoon
I wouldn't be surprised if Duff and Phelps paid Craig Whyte a bung to get the Rangers work. I'll take this club over for a pound. You'll become the administrators and be on a nice little earner until the autumn. Win win

Does this means that Whyte is free to change all of the above at the end of the season?

Macshimmy
Good spot. Does this means that Whyte is free to change all of the above at the end of the season? It maybe says more about his initial plans, or what the board suspected they might be. Regarding his current intentions, I think its probably safe to say that he's a coke fiend with the conscience of a crocodile. pozbaird
Who are Duff & Phelps? Are they like Haudit & Daudit, Duff & Duffer, Tweedledee & Tweedledum, Duff & Duffus, Laurel & Hardy, Dumb & Dumber? More popcorn!
Granny Danger
Haudit & Daudit appointment meeting. Q "So what's our fee?" A "You set it yourself." Q "OK what's the cap?" A "Again you set it yourself, as long as there's enough to cover your costs then fill your boots." Q "So what's the incentive for us to be efficient?" A "Ain't none." Q "I assume we'll have to be super efficient?" A "Not really, for example you can initially forget to notify the FSA of your appointment causing you to go back to the Court of session to be, effectively, re-appointed." H&D Well that all seems perfectly in order, one last question. "What if there's not enough cash for us to gorge ourself on this feast of a shambles?" A "That's the easiest one yet! Convince the neanderthals who kick the ba aboot to take a wage cut."

Winterflood. https://www.winterfl...es/marketmaking including market maker in Plus market stocks. Check out https://www.winterfl...ed/mtfdarkpools even if you don't understand the detail you know it smacks of being ....well, cloak and dagger. Take Winterflood, Close Bros, Octopus and Paul Clark, then invite Whyte to the party and you have a group of 'make money at any cost' group. They won't care what they destroy in the process, as long as they end up with a good return.(a very good return). Maybe I am being paranoid, but somehow this lot suddenly seem to be the big players in all of this.
