Guest Raul Duke
Be Kind Rewind Got this for free when renting out There Will Be Blood. Still feel ripped off. Poor movie with no real decent funny moments. 2/10 There Will Be Blood Good acting from Paul Dano, and to a lesser extent, Daniel Day Lewis. Started off when and I had high hopes but the movie really went off on a tangent and never got back. Very disappointing given how many good reviews I've seen on this. 6/10

The Notorious JMS
My Super Ex-Girlfriend Terrible. How Luke Wilson and Uma Thurman got themselves involved in this drivel is unbelievable...not quite Kiss of death bad, but pretty fuckin close... 3/10
SaltyTON
The Fly (1986) Going really well as a good science fiction movie, until the last ten minutes when Cronenberg decides to rip the arse right out of it as per usual. Goldblum puts on a great performance, shame Davis struggles badly with a fairly distant film from her usual genre. 6/10
SaltyTON
The Fly II (1989) So ludicrous it makes it passable. More ludicrous than Cronenberg, but less of a love story to it to make the ludicrous ending tacked on for the sake of it. 5/10

Colin M
There Will Be BloodDaniel Day Lewis is excellent (albeit his vocal delivery is a John Huston impression) but yet again what's it all about about? An "oilman" who hates everything about life including his son and as for the "bowling ball" scene...sure he hated Eli but to bludgeon him? And it for to be the ending of the film? 5/10 Essentially it's about a man whose lust for money and power turn him into a sociopathic control freak, and ultimately it drives him over the edge arguably into insanity. On one level it's probably a depiction of the kind of driving force behind the modern day oil industry and the "American Dream", but really where Day Lewis comes in, it's a fairly straightforward "Portrait of a Complete Arsehole".

DomDom
I've got the two 28's films but not watched them yet and am going off the idea I like both movies myself. Can't remember much about 28 Weeks Later though. 28 Days Later is all sorts of awesome. The visuals, soundtrack and plot all meshed together brilliantly.

SaltyTON
Worth it surely for the lift coming down on the guys head? That's mainly where the 5 points came from! The Italian Job (2003) I ain't going to be stereotyped and say "this is shite as I loved the original", the original was decent for what it was but this combined everything good about the original, Oceans 11 and Lucky Number Slevin. And such, has to get a better mark than the original. 8/10 Spirit Trap (2005) Take Billie Piper. Take bad forensics. Take four terribly overacted exits. Add a oujia board type idea. Make it Romania. What do you get? Crap. 2/10 as I've seen far worse.
LTP
Knocked Up. It wasn't as funny as I expected it to be but was still a good film. 7/10
