banana Posted November 16, 2012 Share Posted November 16, 2012 He has started 10 times this season. Not in the Premier League he hasn't. Y'know, the most important competition for Liverpool this season. Where you think your darling is going next, darling? 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
LinkinFighter Posted November 16, 2012 Share Posted November 16, 2012 Downing would be a decent signing for the likes of Sunderland or Aston Villa depending on the price. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
~~~ Posted November 16, 2012 Share Posted November 16, 2012 Downing would be a decent signing for the likes of Sunderland or Aston Villa depending on the price. If the price was zero maybe. Don't think he would be very welcomed at Aston Villa, and i'm not so sure they would be able to or want to pay his wages. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
The Troll Posted November 16, 2012 Share Posted November 16, 2012 He's got no confidence and will require a fee of at least £10 million. Sunderland, West Ham, Stoke or QPR awaits... 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Michael W Posted November 16, 2012 Share Posted November 16, 2012 Liverpool will be lucky to get £10M for him, even with the England cap premium attached to him. QPR or Sunderland are the most likely I'd guess. He was an utter disaster of a signing, but maybe a club with no expectations will see him put in better performances. He was never a £20M or whatever sum was paid for him player, but he was by no means the complete diddy he's shown himself to be in his time at Liverpool. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
HEED Posted November 20, 2012 Share Posted November 20, 2012 Downing seemingly offered to Middlesboro on loan, £20 million one season, Championship player the next KK can't half pick them out. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
J_Stewart Posted November 20, 2012 Share Posted November 20, 2012 I would be absolutely delighted if Stewart Downing came back to the 'Boro. He's not a £20 million player and never was, but he is a good, solid Premier League footballer, there's a reason he was Aston Villa's player of the season the year before he signed for Liverpool and a reason Villa bought him for £10 million in the first place. I'm reasonably confident we'll be there or there abouts in the promotion places this season, but I'd be infinitely more confident if Stewart Downing was back on board. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ShakehandsTom - DFC Posted November 21, 2012 Share Posted November 21, 2012 For all the laughs and (rightly) pointing out what a waste of money he's been for Liverpool, he's definitely still capable of doing a job for another Premiership side, who's ambitions are realistic and somewhere where there's less pressure. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
J_Stewart Posted November 27, 2012 Share Posted November 27, 2012 Haven't verified this anywhere, but saw a stat on twitter earlier that said in 2012, Liverpool have scored 71 goals. Lionel Messi has scored 82 himself. Incredible. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
