THE BOSS!

There was a guy sitting KO'd up against a bin for the whole show.

I was amazed at the amount of latecomers, even though the ticket said show at 6.30 there were loads of folk around me who didn't take their seats until well into the show. Special mention to the 3 in the row in front who finally showed up at about 8.15.

In fairness the queue at central just before 6pm was mental. Queued out the station right down to the Arches and that was after you'd stood to actually buy your ticket. If you were in that line there wasn't a chance you were making it for 6:30/45 I took one look and just decided to walk. The traffic heading out of town was pretty bad too.

Either way I arrived just at stage time and had a bloody lovely time. Which was nice.

I saw quite a few folk who were obviously the worse for wear, probably a combination of alcohol and heatstroke.

I was in East Standing so had the sun beating down on me for about an hour and a half before it disappeared behind the stage.

That was phenomenal. Was in tears at more than one point during it. I've never seen him play Born In The USA before, and last night it was fucking incredible. Working On The Highway, 41 Shots and Darkness On The Edge Of Town were also highlights. In fact, f**k it, it was all good.

We beared witness to an amazing show from the heart-stopping, pants-dropping, house-rocking, earth-quaking, booty-shaking, Viagra-taking, love-making, legendary E Street Band.

I was in San Sebastian a couple of weeks ago to see him for the first time and it was genuinely the best gig I've been to. Working offshore so I missed last night but we've got standing tickets to see him in Copenhagen at the end of the month again. :thumsup2

There was a really attractive girl standing next to my mates and I and she genuinely knew every word. She was actually crying at 'this hard land'... I think I'm in love. Pity she had a guy with her who couldn't have looked any more bored if he tried.

I love going to a Springsteen show and coming away with a random classic stuck in your head; one you've always skipped over or never really appreciated before. I've listened to 'out in the street' about forty times today.

What surprised me about the set list once the tour hit Europe was that they dropped a lot of The River album, which they had been playing in it's entirety on the US leg. Not complaining though because if they had then a lot of the best songs from last night would have been dropped. I'd been watching a lot of YouTube vids beforehand including Danny Federici's last ever performance of Sandy, not ashamed to say I was very misty eyed when they played it last night. That last hour or so was the best I've had at a gig anywhere, the time flew in.

Sad f**k that I am, I sat at work last night and looked back at the playlists from the 3 gigs I've seen. 64 different songs, and only Badlands, Promised Land, Born to Run and Dancing in the Dark were played at all 3.

Got there 7.10pm due to massive amount of people going from Central station.

Sounded good from outside but the sound was sh*te inside the stadium. They sorted it out by about halfway through.

Incredible energy and performance over the 3+ hrs  but I'm not overly familiar with his music and a lot of the songs were a bit samey although I could see they meant a lot to the officionados.

The encore was mind blowing and he upped the ante for the last 5 songs...All classics and the final acoustic number was a great way to round it all off.

He obviously loves what he does and his audience loves him....It was great to be a part of it.

I wish the stage had been a bit higher cuz g/f only 5'4" and couldn't see too much and basically watched most of it on the screens. She still enjoyed it though.

I've never seen an artist perform at the level of intensity over that length of time,,,,Epic!

Unreal gig last night, been to quite a few before but this was my first Bruce one and its the best I've ever been too. How he can entertain as much as he does for nearly 4 hours is mental.

Set list was a belter, every song was class really. Not to keen on Point Blank but he has to play River stuff I suppose, the rest was cracking.

Last hour and a bit flew in too, every song after Darkness on the Edge of town till the end was an absolute tune.

Badlands, The Promised Land, Death To My Hometown, Thunder Road and Born to Run probably my favourite from last night, too hard to pick one.

I left school in Armadale at ten past four and didn't get anywhere near Hampden until after six. Ditched the car up a side street near Kerrycroy and walked the last mile and a half.

Fantastic night and what brilliant set list, what a man! We arrived at 11am to get number written on hand for pit and sat in the sun the rest of the day outside Hampden with about 1000 others. We were then let into the pit about 4.45pm and ended up being about 10ft from pitch. Bruce and the band are just such a great live band, connecting with the crowd and miles ahead of anyone else as a live act. I took both my kids (14 and 11) to their first ever gig, they enjoyed it even though it was a mammoth wait/show. I wanted them to witness 'the greatest show on earth' before its too late....Bruce is 67 this Sept! They might thank me in future years for taking them to see him.

The 3.5 hour non stop set had something for everyone. Rosalita and Sandy for the diehards and lots of 'hits' for the people not as familiar with his full catalogue. Real rock out numbers like Murder Incorporated and Badlands and then the atmospheric American Skin/Point Blank, several audience participation numbers like Dancing in the Dark and Waiting on a Sunny Day. Not sure if we'll ever see the E Street band again (last words were "the E Street Band loves ya" not "we'll see you soon/again"). I would love to see him in the Hydro but sadly that will never happen unless as rumoured his next album/tour is the solo one like the Ghost of Tom Joad tour when he played solo acoustic at the Edinburgh Playhouse. If as I suspect it is his last tour of Europe then it was a blast.....just wish I could see him later on this or next month in Europe.

I had heard that the sound was a bit ropey in Dublin the previous weekend, depending on where you were sound where we were was awesome but a couple of guys in my work were not so lucky and said it started off poor but improved. This is unforgivable and I don't understand how some areas the sound can be completely flawless (where I stood) to being so poor, I'd have been really pissed off if after shelling out the best part of £80 a ticket that I didn't get very good sound quality particularly as half the audience would not have a great view of the stage the least you expect is to see a screen and hear the songs as they were flawlessly played. I'm not criticising Bruce but the sound engineers should have their baws booted🙂

Heading to NYC in October and would love for this tour to complete Europe and on its return to the USA drag on so that it was still going on in Oct..chances are they'll head for a final Oz/NZ tour then.

Got my number for the pit tomorrow night, which will be the first time for me out of the 3 times I've seen him! I see those lucky Coventry folk got what we had in 2013, an acoustic Thunder Road to end!

Looking at the set list I think we got a far better one at Hampden.
