Sons' sorrow

There's a rumour that Morton are looking at Ryan Finnie, who was with you on loan a few years ago. Thoughts on him?

Was an excellent player on loan with us when he was 16/17. Not played a lot of football since, but always thought he could have a decent career. I'd imagine he'd do a decent enough job for you.

Not sure how he'd do at left mid with Duffy in charge mind you ;)

He was decent with us but he seems to have done hee haw since.

He always came across as the type of guy who was more interested in Nike Huaraches, sleeves and posting overly emotional and cryptic reem boy tweets than the fitba. Unacceptable behaviour IMO.

Absolutely,

He'll fit in just fine.

By most accounts, Finnie is more at home in Kushion, dining on his previous employment. Had a decent opportunity with us but was bagged before the end of the season. Read into that what you will.

Not sure why Finnie has never really established himself in the first team at any club as he looked like one of the most promising talents I've seen when he played for us in the play-off winning season as a 16 or 17 year old. Fast, athletic, great crossing and dribbling ability, the kind of fullback who creates goals and chips in with a few as well. Then Sons manager Alan Adamson said at our promotion party that Sunderland and other clubs were interested in him, but since then he seems to have floated around without really playing senior football.

He's pish.

Conclusive, thanks.

See when a team plays a centre back up front for his strength and you can see he has a bit of ability, but no clue where to position himself or how to score. That's basically Hacksaw.

He might thrive under Jim Duffy to be fair, he'll end up playing him at Right-Back or something which might suit him more.
