There would be much at stake for these two to go one on one on the box.

Salmond could have much to gain, but he knows he could lose much too.

Weighing it up he knows which way it is likely to go for him.

Darling on weighing it up also sees there is much to gain or lose, but he realises he'll win this debate.

Thus Darling challenged Salmond and Salmond is scared to take him on.

Salmond knows 'his' Bannockburn,he understands that whenever possible you select the time and place of battle.

Which is fair enough, but his tactics do not bode well for the Independent Scotland movement.

I mean it's not even 'hit and run',it's just "run",anti English propaganda, create myth and the Brave Heart thing..

This challenge by Darling would be about currency,Europe,Military, passports, the Monarchy, how the rUK will go about talking to foreign Scotland and that will not be the way Salmond seems to think it will be etc. :)

This.

Edit, you can add mortgage rates, pensions, education, national debts, sport, you name it.

This is a waste of time. Deegas is just a lazy thick troll.

The Chair of the BT group challenges the main Independence man.

Perfectly acceptable and normal.

Salmond won't have it cause he'll get 'battered'.

Davidson and Sarwar were bright enough to realise they were never going to be able compete with Galloway or Farage, not poor old Angus he was sucked in and blown out in bubbles, it was a car crash for him, but the SNP will know in future that good old Angus should only put up for photo ops. and not serious debate, Salmond next time will send out the Rottweiler (Sturgeon) least she may have held her own, anyway the look on Robertson face when Dimbleby gave him into trouble, priceless

Alex Salmond will not appear on Question Time as he thinks its beneath him, he does like a cosy one-to-one from his front garden

Unless you have not noticed I am a NO voter

Did you notice that Dimbleby told lies? Apparently he claimed that QT never took account of by elections. This was a total and utter lie. He claimed it wasn't a show about independence, so why make it a youth audience, divide them 50/50 on independence, and bill it on the website as an independence special? Or are you pretty cool with Unionists telling lies?

No, because splitting up a 306 year old country, one that we are all accustomed to, is an extremely big thing.

Yes, because it will mean that the people Scotland vote for will get in power every time.
Yes, because we not be getting involved in ridiculous, bank-breaking, illegal wars.
Yes, because we will not be spending tax money upholding an undemocratic House of Lords and monarchy.
Yes, because it may force rUK into nuclear disarmament.

Head says yes. Heart says no, however.

Why the hell would the heart say no? Just because it is a "big thing"? Is your heart not capable of "big things"?

Getting pretty used to Unionists telling lies... Nats too. Seems to be the only way to get through the referendum process.

Depressing as f**k.

No Dimbleby said they not take account of bi-elections, and on the split there was at least a couple of the audience said they were undecided

No. It's a mouses heart. My other one packed in... Salty diet, y'know. Found a dead mouse, performed the surgery myself. What David Cameron has done to the NHS is ridiculous.
