lichtie23
My granny had her hip replaced. When at rehab hospital decided she wanted a cigarette. Couldn't be arsed waiting for nurse so went to go herself. Fell Broke other hip! And that's a reason to be cheerful?

MONKMAN
I'm meant to be nightshift offshore right now. I've spent the afternoon drinking cider in Aberdeen airport beer garden.

welshbairn
My mother's just had a hip replacement. Amazed at how straightforward these surgeries are now. It's been less than two weeks and she's taking a trip on the bus today. Your dad's situation is probably more complicated, but you might need to do some nagging about physiotherapy, as my mum's heard hee-haw from them, despite plenty of promises Anyway, enjoy your temporary freedom He's 94 so I doubt his recovery will be that quick. After hospital he'll be in recovery near our house, but still with 24 hour professional care which I have to say has been outstanding. I think Raigmore in Inverness specialises in this stuff, especially with the elderly. Looking like 6 weeks minimum. At which point he'll probably break his other hip (Rowan*) to keep being spoilt by the nurses.

Not that I'm a filthy cretin who would partake in such vile activities though.

Monster
Beer Festival today, three Euro 2016 games tomorrow AND three on Sunday. Looking forward to trying several new beers and regularly relating the pleasure of so doing to one mate who isn't allowed to go.
Dazzle
There should be two games on tonight rather than Monday. Why not 4 lots of 2 games, perfect.
calum_gers
Or just the 8 o clock fixture today and Monday then the three games each Saturday and Sunday. I'm not happy with the way these euros are organised and wish there was some way in which I could vote to not be a part of it anymore. It's almost like they're trying to give the teams a decent rest between the group stages and the last 16.
Aidan
Woke up to find more money in my bank than I had expected. Been out for a haircut, bought some new clothes, took the old dear and my grandfolks out for some lunch and I'm now at home chilling with a few cans.
