accies1874
Looks incredible. Do we have launch date yet? I’d guess around 2019.

FifeArab
I completed last of us remastered on the PS4 last night, what a game. Possibly my favourite game ahead of GTA V. Cannot wait for the next one!
Sauzee#4
Just bought this the other day and all I can say is oh my word. What a game, just brilliant.

19QOS19
I just love this game. I mean I seriously love it. It'll take some beating for this to ever be pushed off my No. 1. spot. For a game that spends large parts just rummaging for items I never seem to tire of doing it. I really can't figure out why this doesn't become tedious. My only theory is that that's the downtime and this is the time you're grateful to not being eaten or shot at. The blend just seems to be perfect. Not always Hunters but not always Clickers et al. It mixes the enemy up perfectly. I reckon I'd be content walking around a city in this game just taking in the surroundings. They have absolutely nailed the background. I don't think I've ever replayed a story based game before and I'm on my 3rd/4th run of this game. I don't think I'll ever give away this disc as I'll play it again and again. I'm looking forward to the second one and am buzzing they have made it but I will be absolutely blown away if it even comes close to this masterpiece. I love Joel and Ellie, I love this game and I fucking love Naughty Dog [emoji3] (Just noticed there's a helluva "I"/"I'll's" in there. What a self-centred p***k).
Fuctifano
I eventually got round to getting this tail end of last year as a birthday present, it was after it was voted best game of all time on this very forum I decided I should try it despite it not being my type of game on paper. Remastered version on ps4. I think as a story it's 10/10 and the atmosphere and pacing etc is all spot on, and there are some really remarkable scenes (the opening act, the fight with David, the giraffe)....just as a video game I got bored probably around the university part, I was more interested in the cutscenes and how the story would progress once I'd finished a level than working out how I was going to get past the next 7 batches of clickers / hunters, and the crafting side of things seems like it's there for the sake of it. To the extent I just watched a no commentary playthrough on the left behind DLC and probably enjoyed it just as much as actually playing it. It's still very good but IMO it's not anywhere near GOAT territory in terms of playability. Given the post above and many others on the thread I know I'm in a minority, but yeah, to me it's a brilliant story with a good game attached.

Great story, fairly tedious gameplay - including rummaging for items I think I got bored earlier in it than you did

HL2 is my all-time favourite but TLOU is pretty high up there.
UsedToGoToCentralPark
Got platinum trophy on this and thoroughly enjoyed every replay required to get there. The MP is extremely good on this as well. Best game ever, by miles.
1320Lichtie
This is very sad I know and I hadn’t done this before but I actually sat down and watched theradbrads gameplay walkthrough of this on YouTube because I have an Xbox. What a story line, up there with some of the better movies I’ve seen.
forameus
What's wrong with watching Let's Plays? As long as the person actually playing it is engaging, then it's certainly far cheaper - time and money wise - than buying and playing the game yourself
Stellaboz
That sounds utterly boring.

I agree it won't be to everyone's taste, but it was the "very sad" part I didn't agree with. I don't sit and watch them paying 100% attention, but they're good background stuff. There's more games that I'd like to experience than I have anywhere near the time to play, so it's a good way to get to see what they're about rather than buy them myself and leave them sitting on a shelf doing nothing. Or it's a PC game that I simply don't have the specs to play. Also a good way of seeing whether games are actively worth getting by seeing them played out (now that demos are very rare). I watched an LP of Inside start to finish, knowing it was unlikely I'd get it. Until Dawn, Papers Please, Subnautica etc etc. It does depend on who is doing the video though. Just watching someone play through a game would be boring, completely agree, but if the person making the video knows when to add something to it, and - more importantly - when to just shut up and let the game speak for itself, then it's usually a good watch. But then on the other hand, there's people that watch people play Football Manager on youtube. That sounds incredibly tedious.
mrcat1990
The only issue I have with "Let's play" videos is that when searching on YouTube for more trimmed down content regarding a game you often get a search list of several hundred "Let's play" videos instead as everyone is trying to make it now as the next PewDewPie.
