It's a fundamental principal that you speak out for someone who you feel is being repeatedly kicked when they are obviously beaten. I've done it in the past for Kilt and even Xbl after he posted the oft-quoted stuff about the girl in the club. I wasn't lazily accused of 'White Knighting' for them possibly because I don't know them personally. While it's admirable that you've finally accepted the fundamental Brick Tamland nature of philpy's posts, I'm still not sure why you think he, or wunfellaff, are being wronged. On almost every occasion they attempt some form of chippy, passive-aggressive response - that is, when they're not initiating arguments themselves - which are predictably buried like the Tahitian defence. Last I checked P&B isn't a self-help class for the terminally thick. Let them pick their battles or get slaughtered by those who are much, much better equipped. You though, are the epitome of the person who stands in a crowd watching a fight, anonymously shouting to the obvious victor to give his opponent a few more kicks or punches. Maybe when/if you get a backbone of sorts you won't bother what the rest of the crowd thinks and maybe try to help the poor c**t who is constantly getting it tight because he is the easy target. I won't hold my breath. Certain posters are 'easy targets' - as Kilt was - because they're not very bright yet still hold the delusion that they can pick their fights and win. By way of comparison, lichtie23 has deservedly taken a slating for being a dreadful poster recently, but hasn't gone into a full-scale meltdown over it. Wise. At some point you're going to have to let your precious little flowers fend for themselves in the big bad world of, err, an online Scottish football forum.
