In the 1970s Morgan Freeman was approached by Jeremy Hardy and Wincey Willis to go into partnership with a view to setting up a chain of shoe shops. He turned down the offer and Martin Freeman's dad took up the chance instead, the profits created by the stores allowing him to put his son through acting school.

"Morgan Freeman" is an anagram of "Anagram Foreman".

Also, Morgan Freeman was actually the voice of Morgan Freeman impressionist 'MoreThan Freeman' in the adverts for insurance firm MoreThan, and worked for free as a favour to company founder MoreThan Fairchild, who changed her name as a publicity stunt to promote Fairchild Semiconductor's ill-fated range of programmable breast implants.

Also, "Morgan Fairchild" is an anagram of "Choirgirl Fanni".

A Celtic fan can walk up over the equivalent height of Ben Nevis if they sit in the back row of Celtic Park during every home league match and attend at least two additional games (e.g. cups / CL).

They keep the top tier closed.

See that Storm Huntley off STV Glasgow? That's not her real name. Her real name is Storm Formartine-United.

I think you've made that up m8.

Between the years 1845-1901 every factory in Manchester had its own midget. The midget was employed by law to get into nooks and crannys retrieve dropped items that fell into gaps that normal people couldn't reach.

30 minutes using a yo-yo every day has been proven to be as effective as standard medicines for slowing the progress of early-stage arthritis.

This is a great made-up fact, as it could be true.

Most of the made-up facts in this thread are utterly shite.

^^^ Not a made-up fact, before some wag gets in there.
