See when you're travelling west on the new M74 near Hampden. There's two sets of lights to the north, near each other, I think one's Shawfield but what's the other one?

Sounds like it might be the nation hockey centre in East end of the Glasgow green. It has a fairly large floodlit facility for hockey and football.

On another note, if you draw a straight line between Parkhead and Hampden, Shawfield perfectly intersects the line.

Railway yard?

There is also an industrial estate near Shawfield which has pylon type lights.

I'll have a look next time I pass

That's Firhill, not Ibrox. You can see the windows on the end of the stand match up with this old picture.

I was thinking that. Too small for the Ibrox main stand which always had two tiers in terms of a large enclosure and the seated area.
