IS THE WAY AHEAD DAVE KING.

The EBT case, should the appeal be upheld, won't have any impact on the club whatsoever. That case was against the oldco, The Rangers Football Club PLC. Nothing to do with the present company.

Nothing to do with the present company.

There will be an impact on the club !, nowt to do with punitive measures but it will be proven once and for all that the oldco club were cheats of the highest magnitude and every other fan of every other club will make sure you will never ever forget that your old club cheated. :) Now that has to stick in yer craw. :D

Youngsy ma man!!!!!! I see you have been let out of the ANTI room welcome into the light unfortunately (for you) nothing has changed your club is still deid although there is some sort of entity floating around claiming to have a connection to a club that used to play anti-football out of Ibrox and still taking the p*** out of the support so as I said nothing has changed. :)

Wait a minute, could be wrong here but I am sure that when the BTC verdict was announced and the BTC blogger ran away, P & B went into meltdown for about a week and everyone then proclaimed that the tax case had nothing to do with the tribunal?

Is the QC now suggesting that if the appeal gets found against oldco that the they can once again be connected? confusing stuff all this legal mumbo jumbo.

It is indeed confusing trying to keep up with the changing attitudes on here, the QC is as changeable as the wind....

If investigations into the oldcos dodgy dealings has no effect on the club then why was stripping titles from the club an option for the tribunal? ...when a newco was running the club?

It is all there in black and white in his decision. That is why he delayed it until after the tax verdict.

As for the appeal fans of Scottish football clubs fans will appeal. It is not just Celtic that were robbed of trophies but other clubs as well.

Cheats should never prosper. What kind of message does that send out.

They didn't stop the tribunal because of the money they had spent on it.

If rangers lose this tax case there will be a clamour for the titles to be stripped. The two are intrinsically linked.

Rangers fans are desperate for this to go away but it wont until the tax case is finally decided.

Wait...they pushed ahead with the tribunal after the tax case had been lost purely for monetary reasons? even though they knew they would lose?

Was this extra money they had already spent? or did it include the £500k they tried to get Rangers to pay after the case ended?

They had already paid him for his services would have been a waste of money to just cancel it.

Rangers did end up paying the fee as technically they lost the case.

Has Macgilligans island been blogging about this?

There seems to be a new campaign gathereing pace among our monobrowed friends...

No it is just the verdict is expected soon.

And pray tell us all, what exactly was the outcome of that tribunal? The outcome of the appeal will have no impact on the club, title stripping or otherwise.

Of course it will have implications if the tax scheme is deemed illegal.

That expertise role on here is already filled by the QC and deputised by Densboy.

If the facts of a case change then of course that can have an impact on the verdict.

For example, if you are found guilty of a crime based on DNA evidence that later turns out to be wrong would you not expect a re-trial?

Can you show where on LNS summation that this would be re-visited should the UTT appeal be upheld. Add to that, can you tell us all who would be financing another tribunal.

Does anybody still really care about this oldco/newco rubbish?

You think folk would become tired of it and just get on with things. Regardless of opinions or what's going on with tax cases Rangers still exist as a football club.

See the part where he said that all rangers were guilty of is not registering players properly and that they gained no sporting advantage.

So obviously if rangers are found guilty of operating an illegal tax scheme that allowed them to have players they couldn't afford they will have clearly gained a sporting advantage.

You haven't answered my question; i'll repeat it, where in the summation of LNS does he state that this summation will be re-visited should the UTT appeal be upheld and if it's re-visited who will carry the expense. Bearing in mind the the SPL no longer exists, who will shoulder the expense?
