CountyFan
It's a rare man who's a bona-fide legend at more than one club. Gutted for his family who are equally as nice as Neale was. RIP.

Dee Bliss
Shocking news about Cooper, only 54 as well. Mind him being a right hard b*****d and a right good player at Aberdeen.

paranoid android
Great player - loved his cup final goal against rangers, and he was a crucial part of one of the best Scottish sides that will ever be. Rest in peace, man.
ICTJohnboy
Met him in a Dunfermline pub the year the he helped the Pars win promotion to the SPL. Remember him as a nice, easy to talk to guy, who was very modest as to all he had achieved in the game. Very sad news.

Maslow
Just popped in to share my condolences regarding Neale Cooper. As a Dundee supporter who studied in Aberdeen during your Magical years I would regularly visit Pittodrie and watch them. Only going into the away end when the Dees visited.Cooper, as a young lad in that Fergie team was a giant. Fearless, utterly fearless. R.I.P.
naegoodinthedark
Incredibly sad news this. As others have said he’s an absolute legend, but more importantly one of the true good guys. RIP Tattie
RussellAnderson
I'm much too young to remember him playing for us, but briefly met him when he did a speech at a golf club I worked in. Brought the house down. Seemed a terrific bloke. Incredible to think he was 17 blasting that goal in v the **** in the final.

BucksburnDandy
Met Neale Cooper on a few occasions and a true gentleman. Nothing but supportive when I was an assistant referee on a few friendlies for Peterhead and Ross County. Top man.Wish I could have done what he did in scoring against THEM from one yard out at their end of Hampden to win the Scottish Cup Final. Ace. RIP Tattie.
