Bojan is a player I've always liked due to one spectacular PES career, so its nice to see him smashing in the goals for Stoke pre-season. Could be a massive signing if he rediscovers his Barca form

Howard Webb basically retired last summer; he was petrified to give decisions last season.

He really did regress badly in the last couple of seasons, particularly last season he was extremely poor. Perhaps someone's had a quiet work in his ear and he's decided he can't face refereeing Championship games and just to go out at the top.

Whatever the reason, fair play to him for making the announcement after he's retired. Can't stand the egotistical types who do it in advance.

This is a good point. He was always so assured and confident looking when he made decisions. Guess over time to then keep finding out after he'd made a balls up must have been hard to take.

The real reason Liverpool hate Webb...

Top EPL's record with Howard Webb as referree

1. Man City - 17 games - 2.41 points per game

2. Arsenal - 15 games - 2.33 points per game

3. Man Utd - 20 games - 1.85 points per game

4. Chelsea -16 games - 1.69 points per game

5. Tottenham - 15 games - 1.60 points per game

6. Everton - 16 games - 1.50 points per game

7. Liverpool - 19 games - 0.89 points per game

Looks like they take they're using the wrong Manchester club as a smokescreen but, then again, they haven't jealously despised City's success for over 20 years, yet.

Arsenal winning 3-0 so far in the Charity shield

Ramsey being back is some boost, no coincidence that a flying Arsenal started fumbling when he went out injured last season.

City have looked poor for most of the pre-season, no idea what's going on there. Surely they should still be very competitive at this stage even without a few World Cuppers and a few injuries?

Was down at the Liverpool v Borussia Dortmund friendly today. 4-0 Liverpool ... a very impressive performance with Sturridge, Lovren, Coutinho and Henderson scoring. Manquilla started at right back and looked the part.

Never know there could be life after Luis.
