All things Dundee FC

Just sat through the 4 minutes of that clip. He doesn’t look overweight or out of shape at all but he barely got above a walk in most of the parts he was in. Had a good header running across the defender and took his penalty well. The only time he got near a sprint was chasing the ball out the net after he scored. Maybe he’s told to stay between the width of the 6 yard box but I’d be looking for a bit more interest than he showed on that clip. Gowser wouldn’t let him away with walking about.

Think West Ham will have any first team players on show at dens??

I very much doubt it, maybe the likes of Randolph / Johnson / Fredericks but that would be about it. A game for a lot of the youngsters to play in, signed 4 or 5 lads for the u23s already, so imagine they would be part of the squad that travels. It's bit of an odd one as they have Dundee at the start of month, then head back south to play a few lower league sides, before coming back up to play Celtic towards the end of the month.

The ICF need time to get up to speed, too.

I know a few years back a few Dundee lads used to come down and watch games, not sure if they still do. Were always sound enough, but the accent did tend to stick out in a boozer full of cockneys.

Even with away fans not being permitted, that Celtic fixture would have seen a lot of the older lot come out of retirement for a final go, however with Europe on the horizon I doubt many will risk being nicked and subsequently banned for travels to sunnier climates.

They could of course just grow up, but probably a bit too late for that.

Would be a good opportunity for the lad, hopefully it happens.

Definitely, he showed he had the quality in the games he played for us so hopefully he'll come back even better after getting some regular game time

I'll be honest, I'm nearly 30 and I don't own any Stone Island, but I would still love to fucking c**t it into a group of weegies and either pagger or be paggered. Must be some buzz.

If that analysis sums up his play we'd be as well just getting Marcus Haber back IMO.

It’s only about 90 seconds with him in it. He certainly wasn’t putting a shift in on those quick clips but that’s not to say he wasn’t.

Have a look on the link Ross posted. He’s number 70 for the team in the white.

🤣 Swallow retired after that relatively recent nicking when The Met were tapping his mobile as he organised a massve stushie by phone, did he?😂

That was a few years ago, when Dagenham & Redbridge had drawn Millwall in the cup. He was about as recently as a couple years ago. The whole Burnley pitch invasion was because of a protest that he organised which went completely Pete Tong. Around £25k went missing, that was meant to be going to a little girl who has been fighting numerous illnesses. The book "Legacy" by Michael Gillard touches on it all. Essentially Swallow was visited by people you don't want to be visited by (not a Jehova Witness) as per request of David Sullivan. Now spends his most of his time in Spain. As I said, time for most of them to grow up.

As for the football, the non internationalists are back training this Friday, so might have a few fringe players up for the game.

Aaaaah😃. David "I don't do kids & I don't do Dutch" Sullivan. Sadly, all the people I knew who worked for him in the 70s, when he ran reputable porn shops and slightly less reputable contact mags, are now dead. They had some tales to tell. He will undoubtedly still know some very useful types.

Was Mr.Swallow not vice-chairman at a Saahf Essicks club when he was nicked for that? Grays Athletic maybe?

Anyhow... I can't say I'd be keen on Cifti. Need someone biggish and energetic in the #9 shirt and give Cumdog a free role.

I'm just glad he looks to have turned his life around.

Seems like moving to Turkey has been a great move for him all round tbf.

As a mere youngster Dee of the mid to late 70's, does anyone else recall the school football bags sported by those of us lucky enough to have parents who could afford them?

This is currently for sale on ebay from a fellow Dee in the city obviously thinning out his Dark Blue collection of strips, programmes and 'all things Dundee FC' it would appear.

Recommend viewing the ebay seller "scottdfc" items on offer, very interesting collection from which I've already made a few purchases.

Respect to Scott for such a fucking magnificent collection.

Deepest Dark Blue regards to the feller.
