Patrick Harvie and Maggie Chapman on the commision for the Greens.

Interestingly that gives the pro Indy parties a solid voice on the commission, witht he Lib dems nominally in favour of federalism as well.

Only Labour to declare who will represent them.

Complete win win for nationalist parties... whatever suggested by unionists will be way off..... cue another referendum. Yes... landslide

and pigs might fly.

Because you're a fanny.

HTH.

Great well thought out comment as usual. You really bring so much to this forum.

As far as I can tell, they are still the ruling party in Scotland.

They can now get on with "ruling" now that independence has been parked. Well, they can after their conference and theyve chosen their new leader who will have to collaborate with WM on devolution as agreed in the EA signed by Salmond, Moore, Sturgeon and Cameron.

What makes you think "unionists" ARE worried about devo max?

What certainly ISNT going to happen is to allow a defeated nationalist party dictate any terms. They had their shot and made an arse of it. They will certainly be involved in the process going forward, but their response will be boringly predictable regardless no matter what is presentedm and eventually delivered.

A week is a long time in politics, & with all eyes on the next GE, my guess is they're going to be looking for friends in advance in the event of a hung parliament.

Everyone knows the LibDems are finished, UKIP will take some seats but not enough to provide any sort of viable coalition partnership, & NI is going to be one almighty mess as Stormont's budget chickens come home to roost this winter will probably see its few seats once more scattered piecemeal between four (maybe five) parties.

All signs are the SNP will grab a few surprise seats south of Stirling from poorer areas now feeling they've nothing left to lose but a useless Labour gobshite, & in that instance those in Westminster may decide it's going to be easier dealing with one party (even one run by "those ungrateful Picts, damn their impertinence!") than trying to cut confidence & supply deals with various minor parties that could easily be thwarted by a backbench revolt.

Possible. Its clear they could also be in a bit of trouble in their current heartlan area which used to be Tory. Should be almost interesting in Scotland for once. Its doubtful it will make a great deal of difference at a general election all the same. The SNP dont really come into the equation although I'm fairly sure they get a small bump in some areas. I welcome their lurch to the left as the shires won't welcome this.

Labour announce Iain Gray as one of their nominees for the commission 9so it's clear they aren't going to be taking this seriously). He'll be paired with an appropriate minder from the Westminster labour party, likely to be Gregg McClymott.

So, the full commission is:

SNP

John Swinney

Linda Fabiani

Greens

Patrick Harvie

Maggie Chapman

Labour

Iain Gray

Gregg McClymott (tbc)

Tories

Annabel Goldie

Professor Adam Tompkins

Lib Dems

Michael Moore

Tavish Scott

You'd think you'd learn after the rip roaring c**t you made of yourself before the last one, it would seem not.

Anything less than "everything except defence and foreign affairs" and they can get fucked, imo.

I wonder if Lord Smith of Kelvin will invite any of the representatives to the island he owns, the silver spooned fucker.

Want control over the currency too? Financial regulation of banks? Etc etc.

Voting should be removed from really thick people.

Would probably have resulted in a 70/30 No Win

Voting should have been removed from those who don't have a mind of their own.

Which would have meant a 100% sweep for Yes.
