In yet another case of a feminist bigot with power showing her man-hating credentials, Jess Phillips MP is currently playing the victim card to perfection.

Each year on International Women's Day, parliament holds a debate on women and girls issues. Last Tuesday, an MP suggested to a backbench committee meeting that the same courtesy be extended to International Men's Day on November 19th, citing underexamined issues such as the high rates of male suicide, boys' falling educational performance, court bias against fathers, etc. Indeed, women's and girls issues are additionally allowed special discussion on a monthly basis.

Phillips, a committee member, responded by busting out laughing, and went on to state that such a courtesy should not be equally applied to 35 million men and boys until there are 325+ female MPs.

The MSM bar the Telegraph were absolutely silent on this to begin with, strange since the left-wing, 'progressive' media are usually quick and eager to jump on gender discrimination stories against women and girls. The Guardian were for example instead publishing their usual men-demonising propaganda like this:

...and putting a neutral gender headline on a report that has specifically highlighted as a key finding that white boys are increasingly falling behind in the UK:

The MSM eventually went to press... to report on Phillips getting online criticism and abuse over her comments, with little to no discussion about her committee behaviour and comments. She's since been given a platform on various TV stations to wail about how she's been hard done by, with no platform given to anyone to speak against her or highlight why she is getting online criticism.

Phillips, backed by the MSM, has of course come out of this as a helpless victim.

Phillips was the Labour MP candidate for her constituency on the back of an all-women shortlist

Her behaviour is pretty pish to be honest.

However, I found Davies' attitude pretty typical of the man children that usually have the biggest problems with feminism (not you banana your a doll  ) . He speaks about gender equality but instead of any sort of recognition that specific questions for women are about addressing gender equality he takes the childish " it isnae fair" foot stomping when a toddler thinks someone is getting something they are not.

I think the conclusion we can take is that all mps of all parties and genders are a bit shite

not the SNP obvs

Just sums up why i hate feminsts, they claim to fight for equality, but when a man brings up the idea of permitting men the same benefit that women currently have she laughs it off. Feminsts dont want equality, they want dominance. They are all hypocrites who campaign only for first world issues and willingly ignore all of the true inequality in the 3rd world because that would actually require effort

This is only true in your head chief. The vast majority of feminists are not the extremists you think they are.

The only ones given oxygen in the mainstream media are.

Feminism is about equality, not a competition, these women are not feminists. You can't tear down barriers and replace them with your own.

The fact she didn't understand what was going on, then tried to defend the way she acted by coming out with some scoffing sexist remarks that would have got any male MP suspended

A Tory who believes that gay marriage discriminates against heterosexuals introduces a motion backed by 3 UDP members and a handful of mates from the Nethanderal wing of the Tory party, who has never mentioned the mens issues he raised before, demanding that Men's Rights Day should have equal billing to International Womens Day. Aye, because good Ulstermen and public school boys have it so hard. Fucking twat, no wonder he was laughed at.

P.S. From his previous posts on race issues I have my suspicions that banana is in fact the Tory troll in question, Mr Philip Davies MP:

The two of them were on Daily Politics yesterday.

It turned into a bit of a rabble but he didn't have an answer when she asked why he never raised any of the issues in the house.

Is it first necessary to raise any of the issues in the house before putting a general matter of equality before a committee?

EDIT: Apparently he raised it with the government, who told him he should raise it in the committee, which he did.

The ongoing media coverage of this has been appallingly one-sided.

In the discussion you mention, Phillips got increasingly rattled by Davies' calm reasoning, could not bring herself to say that she agreed with his equal treatment proposal, and resorted to ad hominem attacks and the same fallacy about there being under 50% of women MPs. The presenters also repeatedly gave Davies a hard time without pressing Phillips. He was also interviewed by Andrew Neil who merely launched one ad hominem and derailing attack after another.

Neither discussions focused on the issues Davies was raising, and neither called out Phillips on any of her numerous counts of shitheadery.

One big ad hominem.

Are you seriously backing Phillips' logic that 35 million men and boys (and 3+ billion worldwide) should not be given the same consideration in Parliament on November 19th as on International Women's day because the proposal was brought forward by a few men, who seemingly have it relatively easy money-wise?

P.S. From his previous posts on race issues I have my suspicions that banana is in fact the Tory troll in question, Mr Philip Davies MP:

Very good

I would like once again to highlight that as far as the MSM goes, it's the right-aligned ones who are repeatedly trying to raise men and boys issues (you, your sons, father, nephews, uncles, ...), and the left-aligned, Feminism/SJW-infested ones who are largely ignoring, censoring, twisting, and demonising, while endlessly trumpeting and fabricating women and girls issues, often infantilising them in the process.

I think you are missing his point, as did that clown of an MP, this isn't about men wanting to be winners in the gender race "feminists" seem determined to have, this is about getting real, serious issues like mens reluctance to go to doctors, higher suicide rates, falling educational standards etc raised in the house with the same respect as womens issues.

Do you think an elected MP should not ask questions, in the correct group, about the suicide rates, educational standards or health maters of any part of society simply because they were given the opportunity to go to public school?

They should and none of those issues require a separate men's time set aside to do so.

I have no evidence for this but f**k it it's the internet. I don't think he gives a shit about any of these issues but is using them as a vehicle to troll. People like him who are so utterly blind to their own privilege will see any effort to rebalance the debate as somehow men are being discriminated against.

So because of accident of birth, he was born in to a family with enough disposable income that he could be sent to a private school and then university automatically makes him immune to depression, prostate cancer and an unfair divorce settlement ?

He had never shown the remotest interest in these real problems in his 10 year parliamentary career until this trolling attempt.
