No shame at going out to Celtic. Plenty of shame at hiding if the reports are to be believed. It's down to Hartley to make sure the players give a good account of themselves.

He's basically admitted in his interview that that's what went on. The defence stood and watched the second goal after Bain had made a great save. Some difference between this and the league game. Harkins being out was a big miss and sadly Wighton just isn't ready for that. If Tankulic had got any support whatsoever he looked like he could do something but it was like watching one of Bomber's teams punting the ball up the park and waiting for it to come back. The situation with Thomson is becoming farcical. I don't see what benefit there is in him playing what seems to be about an average of one game in every four.

Today proved that Wighton isn't ready, Dyer isn't good enough, Godzilla isn't good enough and we need Harkins in our team otherwise we create absolutely nothing.

The Union Jack rammy in the Derry was a complete embarrassment. Dundee fans bringing out the UJ to clearly wind up the Celtic fans (Because they're fannies), a steward proceeds to try and take the flag off the fans (Despite Celtic having their Irish flags all along the Shankly) which results in grown men running the length of the Derry to argue with the stewards. End result, the fans got to keep the flag and Celtic fans proceeded to rip the pish out of them for the rest of the game.

It was almost as embarrassing as the performance on the field.

Think it's harsh to say Wighton isn't ready. He was thrown in at the deep end, and he won't have to play against Celtic every week. If we actually played him more often he may be able to acclimatise quicker.

Wighton's far too lightweight. James Forrest was able to brush him off! He's got all the talent in the world, but he's simply not ready IMO.

Did McAlister really ask for John Guidetti's shirt? Another complete embarrassment. As an ardent Sevco supporter, I can only assume he's burning it as we speak. Teams show far too much respect to Celtic (And Rangers) in this country. It's a psychological thing, summed up by instances like that.

He is too lightweight. Neither he or Tank are going to win balls pumped up to them against the like of Van Dyke or Denier. What really pisses me off though was the contrast in work rate. Celtic pressed whenever and wherever we had the ball and we sat back off them. When we did get the ball time and again the player would see a pass, shite it , turn back on himself and get dispossessed. At one point in the first half McAllister nearly got though after a tangle when Griffiths had originally lost the ball and it was Griffiths who got back and took it off him. I also remember looking up at one point when Celtic had claimed the ball in defence and their midfield and forward line had broken their necks to get forward and the boy with the ball had five options. When Bain had the ball the majority of our guys were walking briskly up the park with their backs to him.

Not a fan of bringing union jacks to games but what was the point in the stewards taking the flag away? Just caused trouble that there was no point to start.

Speaking to one of the head of security/operations (something along those lines) and apparently there are plans to put more fences up the side and possibly the front of the Derry. I made the point that might drive fans away and he said he'd be happy to see the back of the fans at the corner.

Anyway, piss poor from dundee today, the sooner harkins and stewart are in the same team together the better.

Agreed, Celtic are allowed to plaster their Irish flags all along the stand, set off smoke bombs and firecrackers, yet the police don't go near them. A Dundee fan pulls out the UJ and the stewards were swarming. It was ridiculous. It is still a complete embarrassment in the first place though attempting to bait the Celtic fans with it.

The stewarding at Dens has been piss poor for as long as most people can remember and it comes as no surprise that they'd rather have an empty stand so that they don't have to do much work, rather than attend to the 'scum' that they feel is 'beneath' them, such is the superiority complex many of them hold.

I think that is the difference, our fans don't bring the tricolour to try and wind up the opposition fans

No, right enough, Celtic fans just pish themselves in the stand.
