It really is remarkable the utter nonsense the Scottish electorate is expected to put up with for Westminster elections. Salt n Vinegar
11 minutes ago, Suspect Device said: You'll enjoy the ITV leaders debate next week. I know what you mean, but it really isn't good enough. The date of the election is known and it is absurd that political debates between folk seeing the support of the Scottish electorate will be shown in Scotland without "fairness" in the provision of competing campaigning material. I can imagine the tears and snotters there'd be in Labour or Tory HQs if 36 days from the next Scottish Parliament elections, there was an hour long TV programme featuring only the SNP, the Greens, the political editor of The National, the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland and Ruth Wishart. So close to an election I'd not expect there to be an episode of QT shown UK-wide without either the Tory or Labour Party. That's how daft it is to present a pre-election political debate programme in Scotland without the SNP. True, the SNP are unlikely to form a Westminster Government, (I wish) but if that's the criteria, WTF is Farage doing on QT?

Michael W
The Bishop is there to counter Farage complaining about boats turning up in Dover. Or she's done something very bad and is being sent as punishment.

The party he represents will win zero seats in the election, but iirc Farage has been on QT 33 or 34 times. The BBC has learned nothing about how he weaponised the Brexit argument - they shite themselves from people like him and let him spew his bile in the name of "balance". The BBC is a joke.
Salt n Vinegar
To be fair, last night's programme could have been even worse. I'm sure I heard Fiona Bruce say that they had invited 30p Lee...

It is, and I thought there was a wonderful irony in the last question about aspirational parents potentially being punished by taxation for sending their children to private schools being addressed to a panel whose Chair was educated at a Swiss finishing school
