Savage Henry
Has anyone ever removed a long time team member from their list before submitting a new year's entry? Just know there's some unfortunate fucker be waiting about 5 years for Clint Eastwood to pop his clogs and then the year he loses patience and removes him will be the year the guy dies. Margaret Thatcher, believe it or not.

Half Rice Half Chips
Has anyone ever removed a long time team member from their list before submitting a new year's entry? Just know there's some unfortunate fucker be waiting about 5 years for Clint Eastwood to pop his clogs and then the year he loses patience and removes him will be the year the guy dies. I remember seeing Clint at an awards ceremony (on the telly, mind, I don't go to these things) maybe 2/3 years ago, and thinking "Christ, he's gotten old, would be a good pick for a dead pool", until he dedicated his award to his dear old mother, who happened to be in the audience, very much alive and well. I figure he must have that longevity gene running in his family, so unless he has an underlying illnesses I'm not aware of, probably best to avoid for now. Plus he's always been in great shape, that would add a few extra years.Edit: my recollection of events must be gone to f**k, just googled Clint's mother, apparently she died in 2006 aged 97! Still, Clint's 84 now, so assuming he's got his mother's genes he's got at least another 10 years with us.
JamieStevenson
Been making a shortlist throughout the year, must have had about 60-70 names. Now I've had a proper look at everyone again and got an updated condition for them all, I don't even have enough for a squad . I need a long think about who's going to make it into the remaining slots in my squad. As you can tell, I'm not having a good time choosing! 2015 will be a really bad one for me. Will be even sweeter though when ALL my oddball pick die!

Ned Nederlander
It's not technically against the rules, so I wonder how a list starting with these 10 and filled up with a few other folk whose claim to fame was "oldest living man in..." would do? Only 10-25 points per hit, but the additional points for solo shots, first blood etc would all mount up. Rank, Name, Birthday, Age today, Country 1 Misao Okawa[5] F 5 March 1898 116 years, 288 days Japan 2 Gertrude Weaver[5] F 4 July 1898 116 years, 167 days United States 3 Jeralean Talley[5] F 23 May 1899 115 years, 209 days United States 4 Susannah Mushatt Jones[5] F 6 July 1899 115 years, 165 days United States 5 Bernice Madigan[5] F 24 July 1899 115 years, 147 days United States 6 Emma Morano-Martinuzzi[5] F 29 November 1899 115 years, 19 days Italy 7 Violet Brown[5] F 10 March 1900 114 years, 283 days Jamaica[a] 8 Antonia Gerena Rivera[5] F 19 May 1900 114 years, 213 days United States 9 Ethel Lang[5] F 27 May 1900 114 years, 205 days United Kingdom 10 Nabi Tajima[5] F 4 August 1900 114 years, 136 days Japan If anyone actually did this, I'd expect the team to immediately be banned though I picked two from that Top Ten for my current squad - one passed the other's still going strong ! You need to remember that that lot have been cheating death for the last 30 years!

Ned Nederlander
Surely this is against the rules. None of these people are famous. Would they get an obituary in national news outlets? That's why my list contained only two of them - Ethel Lang, known for being the oldest Briton and also some woman named Somner who was a renowned pianist in her day. (both 'famous'-ish)

The trouble with that list is they would have to go in that order to get an obituary. If you are not no.1 nobody give a f**k
