AberdeenBud Posted February 28, 2015 Share Posted February 28, 2015 Pretty sure we ain't seeing Jackie Brown then? Certs for top 10 will be Goodfellas, Shawshank, Suspects, Seven, Lebowski and Pulp Fiction. Have we had Fight Club yet? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ira Gaines Posted February 28, 2015 Share Posted February 28, 2015 For the stick I've given Ludo in other parts of the forum, I need to say thanks for putting this together. I can speak from experience when I say these are a pain in the arse. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Jarkko Wiss Posted February 28, 2015 Share Posted February 28, 2015 I'd have Casino above Goodfellas. Me too. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
~~~ Posted February 28, 2015 Share Posted February 28, 2015 One of my early memories of cinema, queuing up round the block for JP. It's obviously a bit dated now but one of those films that made you, well me, fall in love with cinema. Despite that, not quite a top 10 film imo. Really? I think it holds up amazingly well Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Chupacabra Posted March 1, 2015 Share Posted March 1, 2015 Really? I think it holds up amazingly well Agreed. I was watching it the other day on ITV2 and I still think it looks fantastic. It has lost none of its charm. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Co.Down Hibee Posted March 3, 2015 Share Posted March 3, 2015 Casino has always been very much in the shadow of Goodfellas, I wonder if Casino had been made first would it have been held in higher esteem ? Generally it is seen as a sequel of sorts . Both brilliant films but Goodfellas would get the nod from me. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ludo*1 Posted March 3, 2015 Author Share Posted March 3, 2015 10. Forrest Gump The last film on the list that I haven't seen. It's iconic enough that even if you haven't seen it, you'll still know various quotes from the film and know the majority of the plot though! Deserved placing or has P&B let the masses down? Points Received: 48. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Nope, is probably my most shocking 'not seen' film. Had intentions of watching it before but never really got round to it. Admittedly it's my biggest 'gaping hole' in terms of mainstream films that I should have seen (Along with Schindler's List). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
AberdeenBud Posted March 4, 2015 Share Posted March 4, 2015 It is a wonderful film but I do feel the charge of being overly sentimental does stick somewhat. Some of the theories on the symbolism are pretty funny as well. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
