Jarkko Wiss
13. Fargo. Genuine question, how does the series compare? Steve Buscemi is sensational in this film and never 'shuts the f**k up'. As Coen films go, this is considered as one of their best. Quirky thriller eh. Points Received: 40. The series was very good IMO, worth watching for Billy Bob Thornton's performance alone. You also get to find out what happens to the money Steve Buscemi buries in the snow.
Bert Raccoon
Fargo in both movie and tv series firm are excellent and both have excellent casts.
Albino Rover
I'm guessing it's not The Fan (Fantastic and underrated film that it is) as that doesn't strike me as your type of film for some reason so it has to be Crimson Tide? I haven't seen The Fan and didn't particularly like Crimson Tide. As JJ suggested, Enemy Of The State is my favourite film by Scott the younger. Fargo would definitely be in my personal top 40, it's one of the must-see films of the decade.
invergowrie arab
Fargo is tremendous. Not the coens #1 but a close second.

I'd recommend watching The Fan. Go into it not expecting big things from a film containing De Niro and Snipes and you'll be pleasantly surprised. Ludo*1
12. Casino My favourite film of all time. Excellent story, excellent score, excellent performances. One of the best openings to a film as well: Gutted it missed out on a top 10 spot. Points Received: 46.

banana
Very surprised to see Casino so high, I didn't even consider it for my top 10. Good movie, though. Kinda the same for Fargo, though I suppose it's gained cult status. Ludo's fav film though, eh? Recount!
Bert Raccoon
Casino is excellent. Not quite as good as Goodfellas but still well worthy of it's place on the list.
Albino Rover
Finally, another one from my top 10. One of Martin Scorsese's best-looking films.

Ludo*1
11. Jurassic Park Think it's a great film, touch too high in the rankings in my opinion, but it's probably the best dinosaur film (Unless you include sharks, then it's of course Jaws!) ever made. Impeccable use of CGI and it's a film that still stands up graphically today and if I'm honest, looks more visually impressive than the new one that is on its way. Brilliant theme song as well: Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and of course, Richard Attenborough give great performances as well Points Received: 47. What's everyone's predictions for the top 10 then? AberdeenBud
Casino is excellent. Not quite as good as Goodfellas but still well worthy of it's place on the list. Yeah, I do think it suffers slightly in comparison whilst still being an extraordinary piece of filmmaking. Perversely Scorcese is a victim of his own success here somewhat. Made my top 20 but again I found it difficult to justify the presence of it and 'Fellas in my top 10 and it just missed out. That being said it's an adrenalin rush of film with some fantastic scenes, including as Ludo rightly states the flamboyant opening credits and many fascinating show and tells about the casino industry. Top drawer performances abound and we're also treated to the usual stellar use of music by the director.
Ira Gaines
JURASSIC FUCKING PARK!!! Forgot about it when I submitted. A stone cold 3 if I remembered.
AberdeenBud
One of my early memories of cinema, queuing up round the block for JP. It's obviously a bit dated now but one of those films that made you, well me, fall in love with cinema. Despite that, not quite a top 10 film imo. banana
Jurassic Fucking Park at 11? Top 10 prediction is that Pulp Fiction is going to win. Usual Suspects and Goodfellas both in the top 5.
