One of my early memories of cinema, queuing up round the block for JP.

It's obviously a bit dated now but one of those films that made you, well me, fall in love with cinema.

Despite that, not quite a top 10 film imo.

Really?

I think it holds up amazingly well

Certs for top 10 will be Goodfellas, Shawshank, Suspects, Seven, Lebowski and Pulp Fiction.

Reservoir Dogs, Fight Club, Forrest Gump and Trainspotting.

I'll predict this order:

10. Forrest Gump

9. Seven

8. The Big Lebowski

7. The Usual Suspects

6. Fight Club

5. Reservoir Dogs

4. Trainspotting

3. The Shawshank Redemption

2. Pulp Fiction

1. Goodfellas

That sounds about right- leaving half my picks unmentioned.

Casino has always been very much in the shadow of Goodfellas, I wonder if Casino had been made first would it have been held in higher esteem ? Generally it is seen as a sequel of sorts .

Both brilliant films but Goodfellas would get the nod from me.

10. Forrest Gump

The last film on the list that I haven't seen. It's iconic enough that even if you haven't seen it, you'll still know various quotes from the film and know the majority of the plot though! Deserved placing or has P&B let the masses down?

Points Received: 48.

You haven't seen it? :o

Should be higher if I'm being honest.

Nope, is probably my most shocking 'not seen' film. Had intentions of watching it before but never really got round to it. Admittedly it's my biggest 'gaping hole' in terms of mainstream films that I should have seen (Along with Schindler's List).
