Somebody has recommended a Dream Ring from Harry Gow's. Is this a euphemism?

It's a sweet bread shaped like a bagel, with a cream filling and icing on top. It's pretty good.

I recommend an empire biscuit or one of their pineapple cakes.

Enough of this talk of gourmet food an back to the weather..

It's raining,

and remember soggy dream rings aren't great, keep them dry......

I've never considered a dream ring's susceptibility to the elements.

ICT have called a pitch inspection for now. Highly doubtful it will pass

With the wind forecast at around 50mph at ko, and further heavy rain forecast I fear out game may not go ahead

Supposed to be calmer but wetter in Dingwall.

I'd imagine they wouldn't withstand much rain, but the wind shouldn't be a problem. Unlike, say, your ice cream sandwich, which would be largely unaffected by rain, yet decimated by wind or sunshine. I actually think Deas and Gows should put weather warnings on their product labels, now you come to mention it.

When I first moved up I noticed every time it rained I could see locals huddled in doorways and alleyways. I thought it was funny as they should be used to a bit of rain. An old worthy explained they were merely keeping their bakery produce dry , it was him that explained the unattractive qualities of a soggy ring. I've never forgotten his sage advice to keep it dry.

Any chance this is off ? Just about to set off for the game

There doesn't seem to be a threat at the moment and the pitch drains well, but there are no guarantees, it has rained for about 12 hours now.
