BFTD
It was fucking hilarious that they still managed to balls it up for a while anyway. Whinging gits.

Do they think it's easier trying qualify from there rather than a play off against the South Americans? Because they were miles ahead of even New Zealand and the island sides, their 31-0 and 22-0 wins in 2002 qualifying over Am. Samoa and Tonga kicked the discussion off. Also it is substantially easier and more lucrative in Asia with 4.5 places available automatically compared to just one playoff place for the OFC winner. To answer simply, yes it's easier, but it was also done to make things a little less lop-sided results wise.
Mr. Brightside
First use of the video referee that I've seen in the France game there. Goal rightly disallowed.
Mr. Brightside
Spain just scored a lovely goal which was originally given as offside then overturned, again correctly. In reality this game would be 1-1 but it is correctly 2-0 to Spain.

RandomGuy.
First use of the video referee that I've seen in the France game there. Goal rightly disallowed. And now an offside over ruled by the video ref to award Spain a second. Not sure I like it, took a while to get the decision conveyed over, so it'd maybe only be acceptable with goals. JamieStevenson
Video ref seems a total farce. Now you'll have folk scoring goals and not celebrating because you'll have to wait to find out if it's okay or not and by the time you find out the moment is lost anyway. Bully Wee Villa
Four games does seem excessive for dissent. Not as stupid as six games for just about making contact with the official, though. ETA: Just checked and the longest ban Taylor can get is three games. For a tackle that could've ended a career. Bizarre sense of priorities from the authorities. Nightmare
2-0 and Bolivia looking comfortable. Argentina will still qualify, they've got Venezuela and Peru as their final two home games, and wins in both of them should be enough.

Bully Wee Villa
Brazil have qualified. Mental to think they looked in a spot of bother a few months ago. Argentina and USA now, potentially, the big teams who could be missing from the Americas, but you'd still fancy each to qualify.

Aye. The media are being a little hyperbolic with the 'in danger of not qualifying' patter, as those are two very winnable games at home to sides with awful away records. Can't see them getting a result in Uruguay though. They've only won 1 in 8 without Messi.
lanky_ffc
Anyone know why Bauza has such a hardon for Pratto? Admittedly I've only seen him a couple of times, but he doesn't look anything more than a journeyman striker and his career scoring rate is nothing special. Seems bizarre to pick him ahead of one or more from Dybala, Aguero and Higuain.

Dybala, Aguero, Higuain, Icardi and Tevez to pick from, and he chooses Pratto. And we think Strachan is frustrating
Mr. Brightside
I notice that Dybala has somehow only made 6 appearances for Argentina. Is there any danger he could switch countries, I'm sure he's eligible for Italy and Poland.
