I read it in the paper and there's no quotes from anyone at all, just the Tele writing out what they expect to happen. It'll only turn more fans on Thompson if it fails to materialise. Granny Danger Posted November 7, 2015 Share Posted November 7, 2015 McNamara's failings as a manager are there for all who care to look and his signings this season, with the exception of McKay, were appalling; as was his decision to put Muirhead out on loan. However he should never have been in the position to make the signings as he should have been punted in the summer along with the two clowns he had with him. Thomson took his eye of the ball and the club and its supporters are now paying the price. Relegation is a real possibility but not a certainty but we need our more experienced players back from injury and some new, seasoned players brought in to shore things up. The continual talk of 'selling our best players' is a complete red herring. It's a situation that clubs like United will always be in. The real issue is having a decent manager that can bring in the right replacements and can get the best out of the players available. McNamara was not that guy. Have any dabs got a graph or anything to see if there is a direct correlation between when Jacqueline got his neddy crewcut and Utd's results?
