DrewDon
My folks are huge Nats. My Dad occasionally shouts about the "fucking Tory b*****ds". Only when I'm reading other peoples' accounts of their parents' political outbursts do I realise how fortunate I am to have such ideologically sound forebears.
Benjamin_Nevis
Visited my mum and dad a couple of days ago, for the first time since Sturgeons announcement. All was well until the news came on, then my dad started reflexively screaming stuff at the tv about Catholics, how fat Alex Salmond is and how much he hates the SNP with my mum nodding her agreement. A long road to the next indyref awaits, sadly. My old man is literally boiling with rage at the SNP on a daily basis and willingly believes every negative story about them no matter how far fetched. Last referendum there was a joke meme featuring John Swinney beside a stack of money going about which he totally believed was the SNP printing a new currency before the indy ref result had taken place. He was going mental about it. He's a total uncle tam and takes a bizarre pleasure in Scotland losing at any sport. He even wanted to stand for Council as a UKIPper [emoji38]

My parents aren't into politics that much but they were at least interested enough to vote for Independence the first time, and voted remain in the EU ref. I'm quite glad they listen to my brother and I at least
RussellAnderson
My dad voted yes, because he wanted a close no. He doesn't really like politics.

mjw
SNPbad that wasn't suspended sooner.
Ross.
Hell of a convenient that. I'm sure there will be plenty trying to suspend it indefinitely as a mark of respect or some such shite.
NotThePars
It's the right call to suspend it. Obviously.
