HTG
I'm in Dublin for a few days and, apart from the history of their fight for independence, it's a country where you get the government that the majority of people vote for rather than one that's not had a majority since 1955. Oh aye, nobody is talking about removing human rights as a solution to anything. God knows what the answer is but waiting for Westminster to approve anything in terms of Scotland's status is pointless.

A country that is also talking about setting up a sovereign wealth fund for the multi-billion pound surplus generated by tax receipts from the big multi nationals stationed there. Yet you have Britnat gimps on here, arguing that Ireland should come back into the UK. Imagine trying to sell that notion to Ireland now?

Probably a bit too commercialised these days, but I still like to respect the old traditions like laughing at the dog food salesman and the weirdos on a football forum demanding a 20 year economic plan from other posters. Should probably make the most of it as there might not be many more thanks to the woke left.

welshbairn
For people who can't be bothered clicking the link.. Quote Ending with some light-hearted questions, he asked her: “What is more likely in the next 10 years - the Second Coming or a second independence referendum? She replied: “Well that is both political and problematic.” Asked what was more desirable, Ms Forbes laughed: “Oh my!” She went on: “I think they both have an equal likelihood of happening, but I think probably the Second Coming could happen at literally any time - in the next hour. “And probably the referendum is going to take a bit more work.” And the picture is from her visit to The Scotch Whisky Experience, Edinburgh, in March.

Wee-Bey
All jokes aside, it's perhaps the first tacit acknowledgement by a senior SNP official that another referendum and independence isn't happening in the short term.

Well, as far as I’m aware, Corbyn doesn’t think certain people shouldn’t be allowed to marry and that abortion should be illegal, but I suppose everyone’s definition of nastiness is different. Each to their own though.
ICTChris
She's right, the second coming of Jesus could happen before a second independence referendum.
RuMoore
I think Jeremy Corbyn is shit, I think that Brexit is shit and I think Kate Forbes and her opinions are shit. It is however always amusing to see left wingers that support Independence saying Corbyn is shit whilst trying to defend Kate Forbes.
