Enlighten me then. No polls show desire for a second referendum, she doesn't have a majority so where does the mandate to hold one come from? Their manifesto stated that indy2 would happen after a material change (Brexit) but they didn't win a majority on that manifesto.

They're the elected government m8. Read up on Holyrood and how it works x

Think it's a bit strange to hold it before we leave, as even if we voted to leave the UK in Autumn 2018 we will leave the EU before we leave the U.K.

Personally I think she's gone too soon, it's - obviously - a huge risk.

Go for it ? Is it the Scotland doesn't vote for a Tory govt argument ? We vote as the UK in general elections and had a free choice to stop doing that in 2014. We chose not to.

Yes, that is one argument.  Tory policies designed to work for the betterment of Tory voters in the south east of England have never prioritised Scotland.

Look at our Media.  How much of that is written for, or by, the people of Scotland?  It is forced upon us, as you say, by corporations based in a different country with different ideals.  There is no balance, whatsoever.

During the 2014 campaign the MSM acted abysmally.  You say that the vote was free but no vote that is influenced, hugely, by a pervasive media campaigning on one side, yet pretending to simply report news, is free.  It is influenced by propaganda.

edit to add: If you feel that this referendum is being forced upon you then there is a simple solution.  Don't vote.

It's all very well saying "here we go", "bring it on" etc but the ground work for all us Yes voters starts now. It's all very well debating on social media about which ones better - Scotland or Westminster - but if we just do that we'll end up with the same result. As Yes voters we are always going to be up against it. The majority of politicians are against us and most of the media are against us. We have to actively go out and change peoples opinions because they're only getting their news from these biased media outlets.

If we really want this we have to actually get out there and change people's minds.
