Scotland vs Polska

Impressive result for the Irish. I don't think we've ever beaten the Germans in a competitive match, have we?

Fair to say that O'Neill's battered Strach tactically in this qualifying campaign, considering the results they've had.

The odds have never been better stacked in a tournament.

We started very brightly.

We still couldn't reach the top half of a weak table. Bloody dreadful.

Obviously, Georgia was the big problem, but the two sides we beat or matched head to head, each got great results against Germany. We couldn't.

This campaign is little better than those managed under Vogts, Burley or Levein.

Indeed.

This was our best chance for who knows how long and we couldn't even get in the playoffs.

It's a disgrace really. Out with a whimper and not even near to being in the top 24 teams in Europe.

Heart breaking.

Ireland win. They're not any good but they've got far more guts than we do.

Negative shite I'm frankly sick of listening to/reading. It has nothing to do with guts, and it's certainly not a disgrace.

Ireland took 4 points from Germany, we took 0. Are you going to blame Germany for lying down next?

Our loss to Georgia will be pointed to because it's a game we're expected to win. Our inability to win the "easier" games in our groups has cost us for as long as I can remember and his campaign is no different. We performed admirably against Poland home and away, and Germany home and away. Sadly it wasn't enough this time, there's no need for this "out with a whimper" shite you're spouting.

The thing is, Poland is a much bigger country than us (and certainly a better team). In the cold light of day two draws against them is a positive in itself.

That along with our win and draw against Ireland we performed well against our immediate competitors, and a team better than us.

What we were undone by is one poor result against Georgia and Poland and ROI fluking it against Germany. We drew two jokers - well out our control but it happens.

It's shite knowing we will be the only home nation not at the Euros but what do you expect - I expect more of the same for the World Cup campaign as WGS will not quit - the SFA will not be arsed trying to find a replacement since they are a bunch of lazy incompetent arsewipes

No mon tactics are kick the ball hard n far....our probs were poor selections at crucial times in crucial games

We finished below our competitors so how the f**k is that successful?
